Flame Tree

Just conferred with an friend who lives in Orlando and visits the parks on a regular basis...Flame Tree is not a seasonal restaurant, it is always open.

Plus, if it were seasonal, it would say that it's seasonal (just like all of the seasonal places do).

See, thats the problem...the site that they are using says it is seasonal. I've used that site before, but found that some stuff isn't up to date. *shrugs*

Has anyone here been to Animal Kingdom in 2007? Is Flame Tree open?

Thanks:slurp: :)
I ate lunch there last Saturday. It was seasonal back in the early 2000's, but is no longer seasonal.

Good food, good atmosphere as you eat outside. Very nice; I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Based on recommendations on here, we ate at Flame tree last August and returned there again on our second visit to AK. There is a really great menu, and the seating area is out of this world.

Flame Tree was open Jan/Feb this year. I guess the conclusion is: it's NOT seasonal, that website was just WRONG. Luckily!!

-And a boat with Mickey, Donald and friends waving floated by when were there!!

best onion rings at WDW. And the safari amber is not to shabby either... DW ended up with a keg by accident in her location. Was supposed to be Amber Bock but received this instead... I tried to get her to clean the taps and start serving but she wasn't allowed to :(

As if all these posts haven't made it clear enough, we like Flame Tree.

My son and I ate there last summer (and will again this summer), sitting down by the water. Waved at characters. Harassed by greedy ducks. Met a really nice CM who was talking to us and the only other family eating. Turns out we were all from the same town (families, not the CM). Small world, indeed.

We have not been to Flame tree but now with the dinning plan this is one we WILL be eating at. My mom and sister both said it was very good. The only thing they said it was almost to much food. I cant wait:slurp:

I have to agree with everyone else and say that it is the best counter service in WDW! The surrounding area is beautiful and there are a lot of remote areas to eat in. We ate down by the water and had this view:

Flame Tree is one of the few places at AK that all of us in our family will eat at. We ate there in February and found the food to be rather good.

I think this thread just made me decide to eat there on my next trip...

Flame Tree for Lunch and possibly Tusker House for Dinner....::SIGH::

I anticipate visiting Flame Tree several times this summer. :slurp:

And, speaking of Tusker House, has anyone heard any updates on its conversion (or not. Please, please, please, please.) to a character meal? I haven't seen anything lately.
