We're staying at the Wilderness Resort in November and hope to have the chnace to be a flag family. Does anyone know about what time this occurs in the morning and about how long it take? Got a lot to squeeze in!!!

Have never done it but this thread; http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showthread.php?t=267845 has a lot of info on how to request it, how long it takes, how many people can be there etc, hope that helps.

I've done it 2 times. If I remember correctly I think you have to meet Ranger Stan (that’s who we had both times) around 8:00am. The entire thing takes around 45 min. to 1 hr. The views are fantastic from the roof you can see everything. Just a reminder ask at check-in it fills up FAST

Yes we are very lucky. We are DVC owners at WL and I stay for 2 weeks so I have almost no problem because not very many people stay that long at the same resort. (At least that’s what they tell me.) The first time we did it was so cool that I wanted my father and In-laws to do it with us. We went back and got the 4th of July. It was very moving raising the flag and doing the pledge of alliance on the 4th.

This may be a silly question, but do you have to be American to be the flag family or can any nationality take part?

I think anyone that is staying at the resort can do it, But I know that you can not get on the list till you check in.
