first time trip

My two boys ( 10 and 12) and I are going on our first Disney trip at the end of Sept. for 8 days. There have been a lot of changes since I went in my single days years ago.

Questions:
(I expect there to be more...... great to have this site),
When an attraction says caution on "motion sickness" should I take it seriously? I have a son who can get car sick if not careful.

We will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge Villas, we thought we would eat breakfasts in the room. We do not have a car, and will be coming in on the Mears vans, so no grocery stops. What can we get at the Villas, anything?

We have a simple itinerary, I want the boys to have flexiblity. We have a priority seating for Restaurantsuarus one morning and working on one at the SCI-FI theatre.

thanks for all help!

How commited are you to Mears? We did it for years and after trying YourRide will never go back. It is so much nicer to have your own car take you right to the resort instead of traveling to 3 or 4 other resorts to 1st to drop others off. Also the grocery stop and really be a life saver (even just for bottled water, snacks and anything you might of forgot.) If you are renting DVC points there may be a way to have groceys delivered to your room, but it is cost as much as buying at the resort store and there is a minimum amount. (some local store do deliver, not sure who.) Anyway a towncar doesn't cost much more then Mears and is a ton better. You can get some supplies in the resort store, just your normal stuff. Also the resort mugs are nice and pay for themselves in just a few uses.

As DVC members we own at VWL, but haven't stayed there yet, too busy trying out other places!

I don't think you will have much of a problem getting PS or even getting in restants with out PS that time of year.

We purchased a package deal through USAIR so I assume I can not change it. However, I can call the travel agent and find out.

thanks for the help,

I get car sick too, and so far the only ride that has really given me trouble is Body Wars. Star Wars is not as bad but he may want to avoid that as well. The teacups in fantasyland might not be such a good idea either.

We've done the Breakfastosaurus twice and loved it  Got to love a buffet that offers Krispy Kreme :slurp:
