First Time not 100% Satisfied?

We are just finishing up a 10 night stay at the Fort Wilderness Campground where we have stayed on at least 5 other occasions. This is the first time that we have not felt like we got our money's worth. Disney has never been the cheapest and we have never questioned it- you always got what you paid for. This time however, site prices have skyrocketed (over $100 a night) and the explanation is that they upgraded most of the sites now to include cableTV. I didn't come to Fort Wilderness to watch TV. In addition to that it is the little things...they put in new power pedestals at each site which are an ugly grey utility box with no attempt to camoflage it, the sewer drain is a chunk of floating concrete on the ground which is too high to get proper flow. In general it really feels like we got a very high priced site that isn't worth it. I must say we were a little surprised by some of the low standards on the little things that make camping at Disney different than anywhere else. Comments?

One hundred a night is ridiculous for a campsite (even full utilities); value lacking in my opinion.

100 for a campsite??? You can stay at the Pop Century for less. That sounds like a ripoff to me. You say the price skyrocketed to 100 a night, what did they charge in the past?

Did you mention anything to the manager when you were there?

What loop/site were you in. I stayed there over spring break in the 400 loop a few years ago and really enjoyed it and plan on going back. I do agree that it is expensive but again it was worth it to me. Granted I couldnt afford to camp there every weekend but once every few years seems ok. I also thought that our site was really small. My small slide was just a couple inches from one tree and the awning was in the bushes on the other side. The comcrete pad was also small. We had a golf cart and the only way to plug it in to the power pole was to park my truck with 2 tires off the pad so I could squeese the cart close enough. The enviroment guy there and me had words all week as he kept leaving nasty notes on my truck about parking on the pad and the front desk people and the people at the bike barn said that it was ok. I did like having the cable to see the disney in room tv and around the world today. All in all though I love FW.
