I just made my reservations today for our October trip (21st thru 26th) and we are staying at Pop for the first time. :sohappy: We have stayed at other values before but Pop comes so highly recommened I thought we would give it a try. Now, what building do I want to hope for? I requested a king bed and a preferred room and I am hoping to be a short distance from the food court and bus stops. All you Pop experts give me some advice!

I like the 70's building the best b/c you don't have a pool between the two buildings. Plus, they are a close walk to Classic Hall and the bus stops.

If I remember right, the preferred locations are spread between the 50's, 60's and 70's, someone correct me if I am wrong.

you will prob get a 50's building. they are the closest to the main building. My DW and I have stayed at the Pop Century twice and love it. We have never had a problem with noise levels or anything. The themeing is awsome IMHO. Get the free refillable mug when you get there. I got the slimmer one so I could keep it in my backpack and when we came in from a long day in the parks I could grab a refill before I went back to the room. In Fact, we are going again this christmas with the entire family. 16 people in all. I was the one who talked everyone into staying at the Pop Century. I Love the Disney's Pop Century!

I just looked at a map and the 50 building looks closest to me with the 70's and 60's close behind. It looks like a fun place to stay, I am looking forward to it. We always get the tall refillable cups, that way when we get home we can use them again in the car cupholders for coffee on the go. We are in sorry need of new ones so we will get those cups first thing! My DH also needs a new Grumpy baseball cap, his old one is way too old for my taste so we will be shopping around for Grumpy merchandise too. Can't leave without a new Grumpy sweatshirt!

I love Pop Century!! This will be our third time there, everytime we have stayed in the past, we have been in the 50's building. I like it because it's close to the food court and buses, although this time we might request a different building, just for a change of scenery. The whole resort is a lot of fun and you will really enjoy it (be sure to check out all the neat items posted on the walls of the lobby from all the different decades).

Have fun on your trip!!

The 90's are as far away as they get but they are quiet and if you skip across the parking lot its not too bad.
All the buildings look fun to me and really none of them are so far away that I would be mad staying in them. We can walk and explore, I just am excited about going and looking forward to staying someplace new to us.

Are there any activities on the lake? Where does the "generation bridge" go to?

We have stayed at the Pop twice and I never recall anything going on on the lake. Enjoyed it both times. First time was in the 60's building and last year it was the 50's building. Both were very close to the main pool and the bus stop. As far as the Generation Bridge, I think it is supposed to link the two sections of the resort together when and if the rest is completed. As far as right now, it's only a dead end bridge to the past.

We love POP. None of the bldgs. are that far a walk but since you requested a preferred room you will be in the 50s or 60s bldgs. close to the food court and the busses and have a pool. we like the quiet of the 70s best.

No kidding! That's funny, I thought they got the weather report wrong when I read that there was going to be snow in the mountains, but it turned out to be true. Where were you staying? I live in the suburbs, so we got rained on the entire weekend, but no snow (it was SO dry for several weeks, so two straight days of rain was like a breath of fresh air). CO is a beautiful state, and I love it here! Can't wait for FL weather though, just 10 more days!!

We stayed in the 50's building with preferred. We also walked the entire resort, and I liked it best, though the 70's was a close second.

No matter which building you stay in, be sure to walk around the entire resort! My husband is 6'6'' and it was so much fun taking pics of him next to all the huge icons. He looked so short by comparison, it was hilarious.....

My husband and I went in April and stayed in the 80's building. We loved it! We didn't find it was a far walk at all after the long day at the parks. Also the noise of the pool didn't bother us and we don't have kids. Like everyone is saying, whichever building you end up in you'll love. It's a very fun resort! Enjoy!!!
