First Post and Some Questions about taking two first timers

Hi everyone! This may be my first post but by no means am I a newbie to WDW--my uncle worked there when I was a little one, and then I did the CP back in 02 (yay American Adventure Turkey Leg Cart!) and have taken several trips since then.

However, it HAS been a good three years (sad isn't it?) since I've been, and I am going with my roommates and one of our friends from 4/27-5/01. It's a party of four with two of us having been before and two having NEVER been at all!

I'm the "oldest hand" at things amongst us-- but seeing that ExEv, The Stunt Show at DHS, updated POTC and SE...well, a LOT of things are new to ME, AND I've never gone with anyone who hasn't been, I'd love some advice as to how to pace it and show them the things that I love so much about the WDWR! :)

Also--I have stayed in some of the value resorts before, and I even prefer them over moderate since I like the way the bus system works better

BUT I've yet to stay in Pop and that's where we're looking to go.

Is Pop any different from ASM,______, and ASMu?

Any advice/tips/suggestions for showing my friends the best time would be MUCH appreciated :)

Pop ans AS-Sports have their own bus service.

AS-Music and Movies share a bus.

Never stayed at the Poly. always wanted to, but they do not have a hot tub, and I really enjoy using one after a long day walking in the parks.

Make priority seating for your sit down meals.

Be aware that when AM extra magic hours are offered, that park may be more crowded on that day. I find that PM EMH are not quite as bad as the AM one.

Welcome aboard

My advice - let the newbies choose the schedule, just advise and guide them with the occasional suggestion (unless they ask you to take them to the good stuff)

We stayed at Pop for the first time last Sept. & we really enjoyed it.
The rooms were clean, the themes were colorful & the service was great.
Also, the transportation was nice because it is not shared w/ any other resort.
We are actually going back to WDW 9/20/08 - 9/30/08 & we are planning to stay at Pop!

We went w/ our in-laws on our last trip.
It was their first time back to WDW in over 20 yrs., so it was almost like a first trip for them.
My mistake was that I got too caught up in seeing them have a good time that I failed to take some time to do some things that I wanted to do.
I scheduled every dinner around what I thought they would like to experience.
My recommendation would be to have plenty of down time (or rest time) at the resort. We didn't do enough of this either.
Also, schedule some things together & some things apart.
Our in-laws will be w/ us at WDW again this Sept. & we plan to do things much differently than last year.

Wow, that was seriously my first thought and main concern! "Do I sacrifice riding Carousel of Progress because they'll think it's lame?" "Do I eat Japanese because they LOVE it, or do I suggest maybe one night going to Canada?"

Thankfully they're nerdy like I am and love ghosty things (so they'll LOVE HM) and history things (yay SE) and everyone rides coasters and whatnot.

I'm just so used to going with either former fellow Cast Members or my parents and brother--either way, old hands at fast paced e-ride storming, every show watching, fireworks camping out madness, so I have to figure out how much to bring them into that and how much I have to pull back!

AS-Music and Movies share a bus.
I was there Jan. 3-6 & we stayed at All star Movies. Movies is the last stop for the All Star busses & we always stopped at Sports & Movies before getting to Movies.
I didnt want her to end up staying at Sports thinking they dont share bus service.
