First Night Dining: On Or Off Property?

We are driving down from CT in December (and have hit snow storms in the past --- really bad in Virginia!!!). We are probably leaving around noon (I'll work until 11:30 that day), will most likely get caught in DC traffic, so we don't anticipate arriving at WDW until mid-to-late afternoon the next day. Even when we flew, we'd arrive mid-afternoon and usually hop the bus to DTD, now DS and grab something to eat there. This will be our first time at Coronado Springs and I hear Pepper Market is good, so we will most likely grab something to eat there, using only a QS that day. On the day we leave we will use our last TS at Bongo's since we are heading further south to visit my mama instead of rushing back home to CT.

We fly, but arrival day is about relaxing largely. Getting a good nap in or good nights sleep. We get in some pool time, do some browsing and light shopping at the resort and DTD/ Disney Springs and eat dinner at T-Rex or Rainforest Café.

Last trip, we had one night at AoA before a week at BLT. We drove too, stopping overnight in Georgia and arriving shortly after noon.

On the one hand, as beautiful as the food court is to look at, it's cacophonous, easily the loudest court I've ever experienced in the World, if not the actual world. Makes Sunshine Seasons at Epcot feel like a library. We ate there for lunch and decide we couldn't do it again for dinner. We got reservations for Whispering Canyon (which, again, was not as loud as AoA's food court, ironic considering how they pride themselves on their noise).

But on the other hand, as much as we enjoyed the food, as much as we enjoy visiting the Wilderness Lodge, the kids were done. It was overkill. We were exhausted. If I had to do it over again, I might have either done the food court as take out and brought it to the pool by our room, or ordered a pizza, even WDW delivery pizza which is an insult to the word pizza.
