Actually, there was HUGE fire in Spaceship Earth. Disney was able to coerce the news outlets not to run the story so as not to create a panic... Disney quickly covered the outside with tarps that look just like the old tiles so visitors wouldn't notice anything wrong....


But this photo taken by a Guest did leak out... :lookaroun

Funny thing was, I didn't even think of it until yesterday afternoon when a book about Buckminster Fuller came across my desk at work. I was flipping through it, and a similar photo of the fire was in there...
