I think they should put a few nemo rides in...i could see a nemo-themed area like the little mermaid section at DisneySea. They could have some kids rides (but nicer than DCA), as well as some bigger thrills; ex: Water ride based on the E.A. Current, 3-D Theater Adventure, etc.

Nemo is cool however I don't think EPCOT is the place for a character ride. Adding Nemo to The Living Seas is one thing but a Nemo ride in EPCOT would be very unusual. Most character attractions are either at MK or MGM. You don't see a regular Disney film character taking up a whole attraction at EPCOT.

The Circle of Life show is pushing on the edge of your comment, but is exactly how Nemo should be involved in a show or ride at Living Seas, not the focus, but a compliment.

Living Seas is a perfect place to put Nemo. That's just what Epcot needs is a little tie in with Disney. I mean let's face it Living Seas is not being used for anything right now. It's going down hill.

Don't bother trying to submit any unsolicited ideas/plans to Walt Disney Imagineering®. They will just be thrown out. They can't very well accept any unsolicited ideas, because if an attraction is built based on somebody else's idea there would be a whole can of worms opened with lawsuits, intellectual property claims, etc. Messy. lol

I think Nemo would make a great Dark Ride for Fantasyland or maybe MGM. Out of all the Pixar films so far, Nemo's story seems like the best one to integrate into an attraction, because of all its different scenes you could go through (The Reef, The Submarine, the Jellyfish, the Current, the fishtank, etc.)

Of course, we'd be asking to much if we wanted Disney to make another good Dark Ride for once  .

Dont you think a water ride would be fun, as well as a dark ride? I really think a water based ride, wether it be slides with rafts or whatever, would be neat themed to the ride the fish take on the EAC. That's when they're on the turtles backs.

Also, a dark ride thru the different parts of the ocean would be neat too, esp if they put both real and nemo characters in it.

A water ride would be fun, but an EAC ride in the Living Seas would undermine the facts of the sea and give absolutely no benefit to its riders in the EPCOT spirit.

However, look forward to a different kind of ride opening up with Nemo in EPCOT. I would listen closely to what a SPIDER told us. :D

DON'T SEND YOUR IDEAS TO IMAGINEERING UNLESS YOU ARE IN IMAGINEERING!

The folks can lose their job for reading material from the "outside" as suggestions. They cannot use it under "Disney law". . . read SirNim's post.

Get into Imagineering, THEN suggest it!

(That is, if Imagineering exists if Eisner stays in power.)

Some tips

At EPCOT...

  • Keep it educational!
  • Keep a strong story
  • Make sure the BASIS isn't fiction - fiction can come in with character, but not in overall theme of the seas IMO

At MGM or MK, blue sky can be broadened, I'm sure. But never give up on Imagineering - the one idea can travel so far with teamwork! :D

Don't get me wrong. I agree that Living Seas would be the perfect place for adding Nemo. But an entire ride devoted to only the character and the movie wouldn't really fit into The Living Seas. If you think about the plot of Finding Nemo, it doesn't really have anything to do with The Living Seas other than it takes place in an ocean. EPCOT is an educational park. They would have to change Nemo into something educational to do with TLS. Circle of Life show did that already. But it's not about the Lion King movie at all.

I agree that a Nemo ride would be cool but to make it anything like the movie, it would have to be in either MK or MGM to make sence. Maybe TLS could add him but I don't belive they would do a thrill ride there solely on the plot of the movie. It just wouldn't fit into EPCOTS educational theme.

I would refrain from visiting the Living Seas next year to keep your blood pressure down. :lookaroun
