Finding Nemo: The Musical soundtrack

Does anyone know if they will ever release a soundtrack for the Finding Nemo musical? There are soundtracks for so many other attractions, and it just seems natural, atleast to me, that they would release one for Finding Nemo...
Anyone know if this will ever happen? I know I would buy it...

It will be coming out as a studio recording. No release date has been given. However, the 'official' opening dates are Dec. 30 and Jan 1st (I've heard both), so it may be released sometime soon.

Believe me, I'm anticipating it just as much as you are.

Also on my list is a cd for Dream Along With Mickey. If Cinderellabration gets a soundtrack, Dream Along definately deserves it. But there are no plans to release one

I can't wait until a soundtrack comes out. I might buy five... one for me and one for friends... It's such an awesome show... I cried like 5 times the first time I saw it. It's so awesome!

You can always video tape Dream Along and seclude the video, and save it to a CD as an MP3 file. That's what I did :lol:

And Mr Disney, Unauthorized videos are not great...they are just well....unauthorized...:lookaroun But there's a whole other thread on that subject!

Apparently the cast on the recording will be the NY Workshop cast and not the cast from the actual show, which I think is a horrible shame. These people are working their butts off creating a show and performing it multiple times daily and don't even get to make the recording.

Not that I won't still get the recording; I just think it's unfortunate that the actual cast won't get the honor of performing on it.

It's great to hear such positive reactions to the music, I know a lot of people were worried since the film did not have many musical numbers. And the first look at Big Blue World wasn't as grand as one might have hoped. Then again... that song was stuck in many heads for a while.

Still no info on the release of the CD. But there will be one. And I would expect it for the Grand opening on January 24th. There will be a very large international press event. It is a studio album, and last I heard it was only part of the workshop cast 6 or 7 voices (not the 18 in the current show). I do know Crush is voiced by one of the current cast. And he is very good.

As for Dream Along with Mickey. I have been told by those in the know it will go back into rehearsal to add Character heads that blink and with have moving mouths... Facinating...I'm not kidding.

You would think that they would want to get the soundtrack out ASAP to go along with the opening...

It makes no sense for it to come out in a year. I believe it is already done, it just needs to be distributed.

Hopefully it's not like Wishes. The soundtrack was sitting in the warehouse for MONTHS before it was finally released.

I saw the show earlier this week and I didn't think the music was all that special. However if they are going to release a soundtrack I would think that releasing it sooner than later would be a good idea. I think people will be more excited about the show if they hear the songs beforehand. They don't even need to release a full soundtrack right now, maybe just a clip or 2, or post a couple songs on itunes or something. Just something to whet the appetite, make people want to see the show more.
