'Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!'

Agreed. DAK is a park that is very enjoyable to take time and explore. I think DAK is WDW’s strongest park right now.

I agree. The attraction lineup is arguably the weakest of the parks (at least in terms of rides, even though it has several great ones), but the overall consistency in theming etc. makes it the best park at the moment if you just want to leisurely explore.

It reminds me of the PR speak around eliminating the Magical Express, where they suggested they didn't want to prevent guests from using other options -- as though DME was required to get to Disney.

With that said, I still think DAK has more to do than DHS, thanks to the animal trails.
Agreed. Both parks don’t have much to do, though.

Next time they redo this, they can just do a mash-up of “Big Blue World” and “Go with the Flow” to shave off another 4 minutes so guests won’t be forced to choose between feeding their children and seeing this show. These long shows contribute to world hunger at a non-zero level.

They really should put a Disney on Broadway show in Disney Springs for those of us who still appreciate culture.

Apparently the contract with Cirque prevents that sadly, although it doesn't prevent a show being an upcharge within the boundary of a park or at one of the hotels!
I'm not surprised that the interview is immediately defending the changes as "making it more accessible." The original show had a great run, but from what I've seen I have no interest in this version.
It ruined the pacing. "A 40 minute show has different pacing than one 25 minutes long", in the words of an old entertainment guy I know. I loved the old show so much I own the CD recording of it, but this one seems like a one-and-done, until they decide to can it and put something else in there. Why not something based on Up, especialy if they're being removed from the bird show?

I have doubts that disney can make a better theme park show than Nemo the Musical, for some reason. Especially on the Florida side... and ESPECIALLY a show based on a film that needs ORIGINAL music.

Animal Kingdom does need aquatic representation. And since Epcot already has an aquarium, I think this show is perfect.

I also don’t understand why folks want replacements. ADD a show somewhere. More is always better than replacements in my opinion.

Make a new version of the Pocahontas show or Tarzan... No need to replace Nemo, though. AK has plenty of space.

Do yourself a favor and go to YouTube. Look up Dick Tracy Starring in Diamond Double Cross. Watch it. It's probably the best show Disney has ever put in a theme park, although original Nemo rivals it. That was, far as I know, all new music as well, and it really worked. Shame the film it was based on flopped badly.

More would be better than replacements - but beyond the theatre there, and where FOTLK is, we lack indoor spaces at AK for guests to get out of the heat and see a show. WDE did surveys years ago that show guests prefer enclosed, air-conditioned, theatres where possible. Even outdoor theatres is something that AK rather lacks without a long term tenant (bird show). They'd need more spaces before more shows! Every park, except DHS, essentially needs more theatre spaces if you want more shows.
Ideally.... Disney Theatrical would be producing the shows in the parks and they would be on a set cycle. So a show runs like 3 years and then is replaced with a new production.
Disney needs to bring back Walt Disney Entertainment and make it the ones producing all the entertainment, not keeping the operations folks in charge of it, like it's been since '01. Entertainment was of a higher quality when they ran it.

This just feels like they could go back to the original show at anytime like how FoLK gradually went back to bringing the acrobats back to the show..

But this isn’t a COVID/modified version of the show due to health and safety protocols.
This is the new permanent show. This is it. “Finding Nemo The Musical” was officially closed as of last fall.

Uhhhhhhh.. LOL I appreciate the effort for that show! lol, I've watched it before... It was a bit odd. To each their own, I reckon! lol

Yes they do... I am especially bummed about the scrapped main street theater.

Facts. (Although.. Again.. Nemo is a great show that came after '01.)
