Just a rumour, nothing more. Well, several rumours and reading between the lines actually. Remember the rumours of the underwater effects planned for Disneylands Find Nemo Subs rehab also going into the Living Seas Sea Cab area? MousePlanet have just posted the official announcement of Nemos Subs here - look at the end of the Turtle Talk section for the script.

Now think about the recent stories of Imagineering walking the Sea Cab tracks, marks on the windows, talk of sharing the technology with the subs attraction etc. etc..... possible??

Well,

I would really like to read the article. But there seems to be a small problem. The link is dead. There is no web address there. Or am I just crazy?

It doesn't sound like anything is going to be done @ the Living Seas Pavilion in EPCOT. It sounds like everything written pertains to DISNEYLAND. Besides the Sea Cab ride as nice as it was, was very short and crowded. I would rather see them redo the entire pavilion and completely upgrade it versus a Band-Aid like NEMO. Almost every other pavilion in EPCOT's Future World has been given a make over, some good some bad. Living Seas seems to be getting left out. Shut it down, drain the tank, and rebuild bigger and better with more to do. The only good part of the pavilion is the Coral Sea's Restaurant. Thats the only part I go to anymore.

Sorry - let me reitterate. For the past few months (maybe longer) there has been talk on the boards of the next phase of the Living Seas Nemo overlay bringing back the Sea Cabs, themed to Nemo, using whatever technology was being developed for California. DFD111, welcome! Guess you wern`t around when the discussions took place.

Again, this is all rumour and gossip. Keeps us gossiping though!

it would be welcome, in my opinion

that area could use a good ride to draw people in to the area, once your get people there there's plenty to do

P.S. i'm going to sea isle (beach city in NJ) for 3 weeks, i'll be gone all that time
your gonna miss me right:)

Doubtful. Correct me if I am wrong but Disneyland still has the Sub ride lagoon and show building. I'm guessing this will be a mjor refurb of that ride. If that's the case it really makes me bummed the lagoon is gone from MK.

If not this is probably the 20,000 leagues ride system from Tokyo Disney Seas making an appearance on this side of the Pacific.

The area of the seacabs at the Living Seas is really very small by comparison to the rest of the attractions. While I do believe they will make a return, I doubt it will be in the scope of what was announced at Disneyland.

From what I heard, elements from the Disneyland ride will make it to the SeaCabs... but obviously it won't be as extensive.

We *will* have real fish, though. ;)

I believe he is not meaning the entire ride, just the NEW EFFECT & TECHNOLOGY to enhance the sea cabs to make them into a better (although little) attraction.

WOAH nelly!! You LIKE Coral Sea's?? My family tried to eat there.. they put us at a table that was basically putting us with 2 other families.. had no "good" view of the tank and it was so loud in there we had to SHOUT at the CM to let her know we werent staying. Bulldoze the entire place its pointless theres nothing to do.. Atlantis Marineworld in Riverhead on Long Island is more fun.. they actually had an animatronic of king triton!! although they never repaired him.. but its better than Living Seas.. plus theres no wait! haha

Ok, well, whether you like it or not, to both of you...it's "Coral Reef Restaurant," not "Coral Seas."

Which makes it weird that the Princess dining at Epcot has Ariel at a restaurant that serves FISH! *shudder* (sorry it is a BIT off topic.....kinda)

I loved the sea cabs. I thought it added to the whole thing. The Nemo overlay sounds cool, even if it is only a minor change like Grizz said.

I do not like Coral Reef restaurant, either. The food was quite bland. Nothing special at all.

I think the coral reef restaurant has one of best atmospheres of all wdw restaurants. The food is nothing special but the place is still a hidden gem.
