Hey there (or hey y'all for my FL friends)!

Now that I am an "ex-Floridian" and live way up here in MA, there is one resort I always dreamed about going to and that is the Beach Club.

When you live in FL you never see the "sense" of spending so much when you are only a couple of hours away.

Now that we have been here in MA for 2 years, we went back to the "World" this past March. We tried the All Stars Music Suites because we had some friends who came with us for the weekend from Jax and then family came in from Hollywood (yes FL). We were hoping for extra room but got cheerleaders who drove me insane!

Since our last World trip before we moved up here was at the French Quarter I can see how the Music was disappointing.

So now that I have received some blessings, and instead of buying a lot of crap for Christmas, we are going to take our 13 and 17 year old girls for a grand holiday!

Enter: the Beach Club.

We spend most of our time at MGM (yeah I know its HS but to me its always MGM) and this Momma loves Epcot. We want to see MK and will, but it gets boring for my teens.

My old man (yup he is 11 yrs older than me) gets cranky without his naps and this way he can take a boat or walk back to our room.

Also I hear "I want to go to a waterpark..." but I refuse to pay more $$$. Enter Stormalong Bay.

I think we have made the right choice, and booked Club Level.

I need to hear from experiences at this resort at tghis level to see the pros on spending a little more.

We can always change our reservation and I may just do that before Nov.

We dont have to worry about passes since my old man still has his FL CDL License (at leats he and kids have annual FL pass).

So, what are your thoughts after this long ranting???

Be Kind : )

We've never stayed there but visit quite a bit, usually a breakfast at the Cape May Cafe Buffet. A lunch at some point at Beaches and Cream. This year, with 2 little ones, my wife often gave me a "hall pass" to go do things the kids can't do during naps or nighttime, so one night I drove to Beach Club, parked, walked to Epcot to see the fireworks, then had a late dinner at B&C. Not exactly most people's idea of a wild night, but I liked it :)

We're not fans of the room's decor (based on pics we've seen, again. having never stayed there) but we pretty much enjoy everything else about it, especially the location and that pool we can only swim in with our eyes.

Also, we're DVC members. Sounds like you're staying in the main resort, not the DVC wing. The common complaint about the DVC wing is that, while still a great location in terms of proximity to the 2 parks and other hotels with the restaurants and amenities THEY provide, many of the rooms deal with quite a lot of nearby road noise. Again, an issue you probably won't have if you're not staying in the DVC villa section.

We stayed at the Yacht Club, Club Level (free upgrade) for our honeymoon. It was magical, we loved staying club level. The rooms were great, the pool was great, the staff was great... not really sure I can say more.

In the morning were bagels, pastry, fruits, and cereal. We weren't usually there in the afternoon but often we would get back from the parks and have cookies and homemade potato chips with the most amazing dipping sauce on the planet, early-evenings had some appetizers which we missed as well, and late evenings had fancy desserts and cordials.

Was the upgrade, strictly speaking, worth the money had we of payed for it? Not really, in terms of the service upgrade and food and beverages we received. It was worth it just in terms of the experience though, if that makes sense. One of these days, if we have the money we will do it again.

Enjoy your stay!

It makes sense......I hear what you saying about the upgrade price, but with 4 big breakfast eaters, I think the extra $100 a night is ok, plus I will make sure I get my wine on! Keep the heads ups coming!

I totally agree with you - with four big eaters it's definitely well worth it for a special experience. My husband and I agreed that if we ever stayed deluxe with 2 or 3 kids that we would absolutely stay club level.

We stayed over Thanksgiving at the Yacht Club and were bumped up to Club Level. It was so amazing! We loved the experience! We loved having breakfast, drinks, snacks and appitizers. We loved the pool! I think it is one of the nicest pools in WDW. And I loved floating around and around - just like at the water parks lazy river. Of course it was not as big but during the day, we don't spend hours and hours at the pool. Just a quick trip each day. So it was lovely. I think you made a good choice. Oh, I should stay that I am assuming that the type of club level experience at Beach Club would be the same as at Yacht Club. But I don't know for sure.
