Trip Report Finally back home. That is my WDW home.

Magical greetings, my fellow Disney freaks!
Some of you will have followed my countdown and now the counting down is about to become a reality.
Where else does anyone understand our passion for all things Disney other than here on this site?
My friends are starting to understand that Disney is part of my life. I don't know what's happening most of the time in the real world but in the Disney world I know what's happening daily!
I am going to attempt live (well daily reports) throughout our stay using Disney wi fi either at the end or beginning of the day - well that's the plan but if it gets too much I may need to pick up on my return but I will let you know.

I am a PA for work so I do need to be organised but I feel a bit over planned for this trip in terms of fast pass etc. I just hope it hasn't affected queue times too much in the parks but will feed back my thought. At the moment I have embraced it. Whilst it was in use last year the old fast pass ticket machines were still there.

I will be in Disney every one of our vacation days. In some cases hours rather than days. So we will see who makes it through to the end with me!
I have lived through others trip reports and thought I would return the favour to those feeling the Disney blues. - welcome aboard.
I hope I can inspire some of you (lurkers) to join to comment like Nicole @prfctlyximprct did to me! I got so into her report that most of my friends know about her and Chris asked when she was coming to stay! (And she's just got back from another trip) so especially for you Nicole I hope this helps you with those Disney blues.

I am so sorry - I am trying to ease the pain for those who are not here and not make it worse - I know that feeling only too well.
To be honest I think they do sell out quickly even here as we saw it in Epcot the first time we were there and went to buy one last night but they didn't have any left so when we saw it this morning we got one straight away! I am contemplating getting another one now too as I do think it's pretty cool
Don't feel bad at all. Were here to live our Disney dreams through you! :D I'll just have to keep looking for my Chip cup :inlove:

If there is anything you think I could do to help let me know - I have been trying to think of a solution to help you - I wonder if Disney would ship it to you from here if you phoned them?

Funny you posted the picture of the Chip tea cup! I saw it for the first time today at Village Gifts (next to Gaston's)...it's precious!

Made it out of MK before the deluge began :) . Preparing to face the colder temps in the morning. Might need gloves on the safari

Yes so pleased to have one.
I haven't opened the door yet to see what the weather is like but expecting cold.
We might pop to AK today as I figure the animals might be more active so if you see us be sure to come and say hi.
Hope you are having a great time

Ohw my god you have the Chip cup! Great! Although we didn't look that hard we couldn't find it!! So hopefully in October '15 :)

Yes really happy with that purchase!

I can't believe that even though I was aware of the Alex and Ani bracelets, I never really paid too much attention to what they actually are and their AWESOMENESS!!
OMG I have a new obsession! I need at least 10 of the ones I have seen! Ha ha. So thank you for helping me realise another Disney item I need to start and will enjoy collecting!

Oh and still following along- enjoy another Disney Day! Living the dream :)

I started my obsession from this site too!
WDWMagic has a lot to answer for!
We still have 3 full days and a half day before we need to leave so there is still time to add to my collection! :)

Loving your report so far - shame about the weather for the last day or so - we thought it was to change just before we left! Chip teacup is lovely - I was going to buy one but decided on an Alice in Wonderland one at the last minute. Looking forward to reading the remainder of the report before you leave - brightens up the day she I get home from work in cold/miserable/wet UK.

What a wonderful report. Glad you were able to solve the picture problem, and the pictures are turning out great. Keep the ice cream coming. Following along.

Leaving AK now. Too cold and rainy to stay!

We left too - sorry we missed you

It's been really cold today - still not as bad as home but at least there you have a coat and boots but we have made the best of it. More of the report to follow soon

I am glad I got the pictures sorted too. Wouldn't be much of a report as we go without photos and we did have ice cream today even though it was cold - report being updated shortly - thanks for following along.

Tuesday 18th November

So after last nights weather and the forecast for cold weather today we were kind of prepared for it to be cold.
The jeans and North Face fleece I bought a few days ago were going to be needed.

I started the day with Stacy!

image.jpg

When we got outside it was cold - don't get me wrong in the UK it is cold but there I would have a jacket and boots none of which I packed for this trip but hey I am still in Disney right now and I am going to make the best of it.

As we got To the car the rain started - oh no, rain and cold but onwards and upwards we had places to be and our first stop today was Animal Kingdom.
The Christmas tree is now up.

Our first stop was the Safari, now I found it the most disappointing one I have ever been on. Maybe I expected too much as I expected the animals to be more active, but I guess like us they were cold and were trying to stay somewhere warm!

I didn't take many pictures as my hands were so cold but I do kind of like this one with the truck also showing.

image.jpg

Even this gorilla had put itself under a ledge with a blanket! (Sorry for the blury picture and it actually looks like it's sunny, but trust me it wasn't)

image.jpg

From here we went to the Festival of the Lion King. The new theatre was lovely and warm so I think that is where most of us were and let me tell you no one was in a hurry to leave when it finished.

image.jpg

From here we walked over to EE the wait time was showing 10 mins so we went on one last time for this trip (and the third time for me ever)

As we left Chris said I should get a yeti hat as a souvenir and to keep me warm - I didn't get one as I don't think it really suited me?

Hope the weather turns for the better for you in remaining few days. Quite the Polar Express of cold air we are all experiencing! Today in Indiana, 1000 miles north of you in Orlando, we had a morning low of 7 degrees F. Never above 18 Degrees all day, sick of winter and it has not even started yet!

Just got home from dinner out and told my husband to head the car in the southern direction and we would stop when we arrived in Orlando! He said he only had 100 dollars in his pocket and the cards were at home, guess we are staying here....:( .

Interesting about your safari ride...mine was great! Two young elephants playfully rough-housing with each other, three zebras chasing each other (and one fell over), the warthog was running around and the pregnant giraffe was munching away.

But there were no signs of the mandrills or the lions or cheetahs. They were keeping warm somewhere!

Had not seen Finding Nemo: The Musical in quite some time, so that was my show of choice. I forgot how excellent those performers are and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Epcot is on our itinerary for tomorrow.

Too bad about your safari ride. I would have thought you would have had better luck but I guess they all must have been cold as well. I'm glad you made it to Festival of the Lion King! I could watch that show all day. You got a good picture of it too! I try and try to take good pictures of that show but they never turn out too good.

After our date with the yeti it was time for a coke float (this was making up for no ice cream yesterday!)
Now let me tell you it was cold and having ice cream might not have been the best idea.
Our hands were shaking as we were eating it.
I think a few people going past thought we were mad - well we are!!,!
We had a good old laugh eating and drinking it though at how crazy we must look and how cold we actually were :cold:

image.jpg

By this point though we were pretty cold and had fast passes at Hollywood studios so we went back to the car - it was 1.14pm and only 46 degrees.

image.jpg

The rain started again so we ended up at McDonalds near Animal Kingdom
You can probably see the rain on the windscreen - a bit of a change from the blue skies only a few days ago.

image.jpg

Our bellies filled we made our way over to Hollywood studios with the heated car seats on! Yes we found out that we could have a warm up before going back into the cold.

Now we hadn't managed to get on RNRC yet this trip so we knew we wanted to do today (on an average trip we would probably have done this 5 times but the crowds have been more than we have ever seen during these weeks in Disney in our 18 years of coming)
So we joined the single rider line and got chatting to a few people about crowds. One man worked for Disney and said that the tier system would come to Animal Kingdom fast passes when Avatar land opens

Anyway Chris took this shot of me as I got off RNRC as he thinks it's funny I bought jeans with ripped knees and they were poking out on this photo (you have to zoom it in so just trust me!)

image.jpg

Then despite the cold temperatures it was ice cream time. Obviously no one was in the queue so we got served straight away - I wonder why no one else wanted ice cream on such a lovely day. Ha ha.........
Chris had missed out on the Brownie sundae as he was at golf so that's what we had to have.

A couple of nice men offered to take our photo as we were trying to do a selfie - they thought our challenge was kind of cool and admired our determination to eat this on such a cold day.
Chris said afterwards he was impressed that I had all but managed to finish one of these by myself.

Let me tell you sitting eating this today was a challenge due to the cold .........

image.jpg

It was then TSMM time

image.jpg

Can you believe how close this came out? I did tell Chris I let him win to keep him happy.
We have one final challenge tomorrow

image.jpg

After a wander in and out of shops -mainly to keep warm we decided to go to see the characters from Big Hero 6 as we watched the film last night but the queue had just closed so we took this photo

image.jpg

Then we went to the Animation Acedemy - this is the first time we have ever done this and it shows with our pictures. Oops - glad no one from Disney was there recruiting today or we definitely won't be getting a job in the animation department.
Chris did a better job of this than me - at least we can only get better.

image.jpg

Temperature 66 degrees tomorrow so looks like another cold one.
The plan is Epcot AM then Hollywood Studios PM to do anything we want before we leave as this will be the last time visiting these parks on this trip.

More tomorrow
Thanks for following along.

You have the weather that we will probably get back home then.
oh no, your husband is being a spoil sport, maybe when he gets home and gets the credit cards he can bring you?
Thanks for following along.

We did see giraffes and there were elephants but like you say no lions, cheetahs or mandrills, not much on the open savanna bit and very little activity but it's not like we haven't been before and won't be doing it again next year so it didn't really matter.
We did Finding Nemo last year and hadn't done FOTLK in some time hence the reason we ended up there.
We are doing Epcot AM tomorrow too so look out for us. We will probably be somewhere eating ice cream!

Most of the other pictures were rubbish I took that picture right at the end when they all stood still and the lights went up!
Thanks for following......

DH has promised me a deposit on our October trip after the first of the year, so I am trying to be patient. He is just as upset as I was this year when for the first time in years we did not go to WDW in the fall, or at all. He likes to tell everyone we go every year because I love it so much, however, he loves it too and uses me as his excuse. I am totally fine with that, if he wants it that way I can cover him. All I know is when we get in our car and we are headed to the world he is one happy person! It is our happy place too, no outside toils and trouble bother us, we can turn off the phones and relax!
