Finally A Imagination Pavilion refurb?

I'm hoping for a new dark ride inside Imagination should come first, then something Inside Out-related maybe in WOL, then a new ride within Energy, then maybe Ratatouille: The Adventure from DLP in the French Pavillion. In fact, I think Ratatouille should come first to get some stress off of Frozen back in World Showcase and to give Epcot another solid e-ticket to hold off crowds during the other refurbishments.

I made three attempts to ride Ratatouille when I was at Disneyland Paris a few weeks ago and each time I got within sight of the load area only to have the ride go down and they sent everyone out of the building. I just gave up on it.
Refer to my second point. Knowing modern WDW, the money's probably going to something inane or unnecessary instead of the attractions that desperately need it. Hey, I really want things to change, but I'm being skeptical until I see "This area is being refurbished for your future enjoyment" nailed to the pavilion.
That is also the sign that they use when it never is going to open again. Horizons is a good example of that along with others like 20K under the sea.

I've heard this same story re:Ratatouille anecdotally quite a bit over the last few years, but never about Hunny Hunt or Mystic Manor. Is this a problem with the ride system that's isolated to Paris, or just an incongruity of information?

No
Last spring I worked in the Imagination gift shop on my college program and we had a group of imagineers walk through the building several times. Granted, that could've been anything, but most of my managers were pretty certain that it was leading up to a refurb.

I hope they give it the update it deserves, but I also understand why many are doubtful that it will happen.

Honey Hunt is known for its downtime.

By the time Disney does find something to replace Imagination's current state with... Everyone on these forums will be underwhelmed regardless. Like they were with Little Mermaid, 7 Dwarves, Test Track 2.0, and even the announcement of Frozen Ever After and Avatarland.

Have there been any attraction upgrades that have been highly praised on these forums since Star Tours 2.0?

I personally like the new Test Track despite it just being an overlay. And when you really get down to it, any change to a motion simulator ride like Star Tours is just an 'overlay' when you really get down to it. Not that the new ST isn't great.

Walt Disney Imagineering has offices at EPCOT Center and has used the upstairs of the Inagination Pavilion.

I love the new Test Track too. I'm sure many consider it a good upgrade, but when it came out.. Everyone on these forums seemed to be underwhelmed.

Much like how the little mermaid ride isn't bad, but everyone was just expecting a lot more.

With Flower and Garden being expanded to 90 days, the Festival Center (WoL) will be used a lot more. That being said, I don't think it will come back as an Inside Out pavilion, as nice as that would be.

Anything is possible. They could close it randomly for no reason, useful during an event or not... They could probably move the event center to some other abandoned place like Millennium Village or close Energy for the use of it.

Pure speculation at this point.

Figment doesn't have a huge fan base because his ride sucks. No one who only knows the ride as it is today (as in a WDW first timer) is going to rush over to the gift shop and buy everything figment.

However, if they made his ride... Well actually good... And give him the spot light he deserves then his popularity might expand.
