Filthy ride vehicles...

I must be really unaware or be going at times when people are acting better because I've never seen much trash around the parks, especially on ride vehicles. That said, all of these stories and pictures are gross! Shame on those guests!

How true this is! I think when I was talking about "cutbacks" and it affecting the rides, I think in my mind I was picturing the worn-down/faded appearance of some of the ride vehicles, the chunks of foam from the lap bars, etc. I'm sure the food that collects in the rides is from that day's loading of riders. But isn't there usually a CM at the front of the lines who is asking how many is in your party for loading purposes?? Shouldn't they be the 1st line of "defense" against filthy-ride vehicles by enforcing the "no food on the rides" rule? It should be very simple, and be posted clearly, so all that needs to be said is, "sir/mam, you'll need to finish that or throw it in the can here before you can ride."

But I am in total agreement that people are PIGS! There is no pride in anything and these pigs are more than confident that some poor soul will pick up after their filth and feel perfectly at ease to discard whatever and wherever. It's sickening and now I think I'm more worked up than I was when I started reading this thread!!:mad::mad::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

That front line CM is probably an overworked CP'er who has no incentive to confront a guest breaking the rules as the will probably get 'written up' for doing their job.

To be honest, I never really notice any declining standards in relation to cleanliness (this applies to customer service aswell) due to the fact parks in Orlando are still infinitely better than anything on offer in the UK!

I can tell you they clearly did not clean the trains on Big Thunder. That as the first ride I went to...and I was one if the first people on the ride, first train, so there were no guests riding before me. That sight is what catapulted this whole thing for me. The more I rode, the more garbage I found. Either crews aren't doing their jobs cleaning, or this is a cut.

Either way, I know people are disgusting too and when I see someone litter, I say something.

Last trip, July of 2015 my family and I witnessed one of the most disappointing things in the history of our Disney Vacations. As we queued up for Peter Pan's Flight we were in awe of the new refurb, I mean it was worth the wait! However as we made our way around we noticed more and more trash. It was outrageous. In the room with Wendy and the brother's beds trash littered EVERYTHING. Water bottles, bags of chips, soda bottles, and so so much more. It looked almost like throwing pennies into a fountain. I can hear it now, "Kids if you throw a piece of trash anywhere BUT an actual trash can you can make a wish!" I was extremely disappointed by the disrespect guests had shown the refurb. By the time we got to the front my sister's and I had collected at least four bottles each. We handed them to a cast member to throw away and she seemed just as shocked...Sad that people have no respect or admiration.

I agree with everyone here who has placed the blame squarely on the shoulders of disrespectful guests. Just because Disney has a high cleanliness standard doesn't mean that the CMs are your personal maids. The more trash that's littered throughout the parks, the less time CMs and custodial staff have to properly clean and disinfect ride vehicles.

We just returned from the MK tonight and as usual, there was trash left in a variety of places. The best one tonight though was over by the Casey Jr.s Splash N Soak Station where it appeared a family or two had been sitting right next to a trash can and what did they do...well, see for yourself. I took a shot from each side of the trash can since it was dark.View attachment 137593 View attachment 137594

How can people leave this stuff?
How ignorant can you be?
I see people do this at the beach too.
Don't you want a clean beach?
I even see fishermen do it. (I fish too.)
You would think that fisherman have some sort of awareness of the environment.

We were in the MK a few weeks ago. Ad we got on Peter Pan I looked down between the ride vehicle and the wall. The entire length of the run was littered with paper wrappers, bags and water bottles. It's obvious people get on the ride and dump the trash out of the vehicle even though they just past a trash can on the way in. I wish I had my phone out to get a picture.

All part of the 2016 profit plan. Upcharge guests if they want a clean ride vehicle! :(

It's sad to hear that multiple ride vehicles being dirty first thing in the AM. I can see it better if it was midnight, but it is still not acceptable.

Debris is swept out overnight, but other than that, ride vehicles at Disney are rarely thoroughly cleaned unless there is bodily fluids or a large food spill. **from lots of experience**

They are cleaned more frequently at Universal and SeaWorld because the actual attraction hosts are responsible for it rather than unknown 3rd shift people who ignore it.

We were once next in line for Pooh and the car had "human waste" in it so they had maintenance come out and just spray what looked like water on the seats and then wanted us to sit down on it, still wet. The whole car refused so we got the next one. That was enough "Pooh" for me.......pun intended ;)
