Filtered Water Bottles?

Hi!

My DH and I are huge water drinkers, and we always bring water bottles for the parks, because drinking out of a water fountain totally creeps me out.

But today at Target I found refillable water bottles with filters, and I was wondering if anyone has used these? They look pretty cool and they would save us a ton.

Thanks,
Shelley

Don't know about that, but there is always the UV Pen Light Filter. They are about 100 bucks but supposedly are great. Now granted...that is more of a camping thing. I think the water fountain water is great myself.

My water fountain phobia goes back to high school. Guys would put all sorts of crud in them when it was dissection time in Biology....ugh.....it still is gross to think about!!!

I have never heard of those pens, but I can hear my husband laughing at me now just thinking about it since he already thinks my water fountain thing is silly.

Thanks for the responses!

It was the britta one, so I am glad that you liked them! I am excited to try them out in 9 days!

Thanks again!

You husband is right. You could pour anything you want down the drain and it will never come in contact with the water coning in through the fresh water line.

Yes, I have one and we bring it to the park for this reason. The only issue - the temp of the water. It gets warm. But it tastes great! It's larger then an average bottle of water but about the same size as a large bottle of water. Added some extra weight to carry around but all in all, not too bad. This time, we are bringing a case of bottle water with us to keep in the room. I think all and all - it is easier then the filter water bottle.

Hopefully the filter takes some of the taste out...I normally refill from water fountains, but the fountains in Disney taste absolutely disgusting and WAY too chlorinated!

If you have located a Britta filtered sports bottle then you should stock up on filters. I don't think Britta makes the filtered sports bottles anymore so it won't be long before the filters for it are all gone as well.

I completely agree!
I'd only drink out of a fountain at Disney (well, anywhere) if I was severely dehydrated, and then I'd probably puke it back up from the disgusting taste and smell of FL water :(

Thanks for the info on the Target bottle with filter.
I am going to check that out!
