Filming Wishes

I would love to get my hands on steady, unobstructed, HD footage of Wishes. There are some not-so-bad ones on Youtube and such, but with a jib set up, that must be sweet

Meaning it's not real sequences from the show? They had quite a few on the YOAMD one...

Its difficult to balance the light - more so in video - with the difference in luminosity between the pyro and the castle. The pyro (esp. the low level effects) are much more brilliant and tend to 'blow out' the highlights when using a dSLR and even more so when its on a video camera.

Or so had been my results.

could it somehow be related to the "Wishes" passholder functions coming up in june? Ooooooo, maybe they'll give each participant a copy of the show on dvd? :)... WISHful thinking :)

I believe a lot of the existing footage they use in the Planning DVD uses post-production inserts of fireworks, especially the Fantasyland rooftop pyro.

With the switch to digital TV coming soon, maybe they're up dating the stock footage to take advantage of the new format. I've noticed other commercials that aren't filmed in HD look really lousy on all my HD sets.

MAYBE......it could be for a Disney Treasures DVD....there IS a 40th anniversary around the corner. If they come out with a WDW set I will be all over that like white on rice!
