At least we have GoPros now and not these bad boys. Imagine strapping this to your person while riding Space Mountain.:cautious:

Flash photography is something that gets my ire up on dark rides. very nearly came to blows on PotC once. With that said filming with out flash doesn't bother anyone. My DS got some good scenes on dark rides and Space Mountain using his google glass. I was impressed with the video quality from that device.

Wait, am I hallucinating? Isn't Space Mountain totally in the dark? So without a light you get a few minutes of darkness with the occasional scream. With a light, dim or not, it would take away from the intent of the ride and ruin it for others. Hopefully you would get your selfish butt thrown out of the park. A lot of Everest is outside or visible semi-lighted inside areas. Not total darkness. Put the camera in your pocket and immerse into the ride. There is no category of best cell phone movie on an inside, dark, coaster ride.
That's kinda rude you know...

Everything can be called rude if you don't really know what rude is. The act of selfishly and deliberately negatively affecting the enjoyment of a number of others is really what is super rude. Correcting someones bad behavior may be bold, but, it isn't rude. Otherwise, I would have to call you rude for telling me that I'm rude. See the connection there? In this case the rude part came in when it was mentioned that the use of a dim light might be necessary. I don't care if they take a picture of the dark all day long, just do not ruin the affect for others for self centered desires.

Our entire 'ship' chastised a guy in the front with a light on his camera videoing the entire ride. Needless to say, he ran off the ride in fear and a CM asked if our 'ship' wanted another go, minus the light offender. Re-boarded and off we went for a better experience.

I wouldn't recommend a light source, unless you want to risk what i mentioned. If you wanna record it with no light have a blast.

Also, one of the back riders, if they would have encountered said offender in the park, i don't think it would have ended well. The CM probably saved a brawl by giving us another ride.

Props for getting with the TTA lights on also, good score. Last time I was there I got surprisingly decent video with a session 5, and a hero silver 4. The session 5 slightly edged out the hero 4 because of the image stabilization. I have a 6 also now, and will be back to visit my family for thanksgiving. I think the 6 will do a bit better than the session 5 even.

Here is a link to the electrical parade from a year or more ago, hero 4, protune on, fairly little editing. I have since found some better settings, but obviously won't be able to get it again :(
