From the first picture it seems they may just be doing a refurbishment of the area. They don't want to accidentally damage them while construction is on-going.

Main Street USA is getting road work done. The horse-drawn carriage is more nimble than the regular trolley. That's why it's in use

Scrim was up on Thursday then half up on Friday. Pole was still present thursday night as we watched the flag ceremony.
Flag pole came down overnight last night
