Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

At this point it’s really a matter of when they decide to overhaul the pavilion, but clearly they're perfectly satisfied with resting on their laurels as they don’t see any ROI with a brand new version. As long as they can get away with the bare minimum (and have been successful at doing so) without touching the ride itself, they’ll continue to do so. My only concern is they’ll continue to wait until people finally loose interest in Figment, seeing the only plan is to keep him around in this mediocre state, so they’ll take that as a sign to overhaul the space into something completely different years from
now

I have nothing to base it on but I have a feeling there will be a re do and the dreamfinder will come back….. perhaps a girl dreamfinder?

Not to be devil's advocate, but maybe if they took from the comics they could use Capri (Dreamfinder's [many greats] Niece) and also throw some STEM element into it? She could also just be a companion character to DF

How about they just bring back the same Dreamfinder we all know and love (or in my case, never got to encounter once!) and not try to reinvent the wheel or who Dreamfinder is?

Dreamfinder is the kindly Santa Claus guy in the purple suit and hat.

He's not this guy:

Or this girl:

And he's definitely not this guy:

Nope, he's this guy, as he was at the start and hopefully will be again:

Whole point of the comic is that it's an origin story character arc where he becomes the guy from the ride.

I wouldn’t mind if the new version is a spin-off of the comics where doubtfinder makes a return and we have to put a stop to him.

Muppets in the magic eye makes too much sense! The footprint at DHS is not huge but in a prime spot for expansion. Wonder why they never did this…
Muppetvision itself even feels a little Epcot-y with the muppet labs segment. It would be a perfect fit in the magic eye. The one loss though would be that Epcot would not be able to support the muppet gift shops and restaurants around the attraction that we get in HS without messing with imagination which we probably don’t want them to do

Yes but that gift shop has not sold muppets stuff for a long time. Just another generic store. And the only muppet inclusion at Pizzarizzo is the name/sign. The whole area sadly screams temporary. I had such high hopes when they redid the bathrooms and restaurant but instead of doubling down on muppets they just made it even sadder.

agree all of those stores in that area are shuddered, its horrible. The muppet shop is gone, the christmas shop and the art of disney shop too. Its not like its a themepark or anything...:banghead: this is what happens when bean counters run the show or what little show is left.

Ahem. “Sharp pencil people”. Actual bean counters were offended at being included with cutthroat accountants, sued, and won.

DSNY Newscast claims that before 2020 Imagination was going to be replaced with Inside Out but Pete Doctor vetoed it because he didn't want his characters replacing Figment. Then the plan was to make it a Muppet Labs dark ride and to put Muppet Vision 3D in the Magic Eye Theater but that also fell through. I am not sure how trustworthy the source is but he also seems to think they are wanting to do a overhaul with Figment now instead of replacing him.
I hope they still have ideas for a Muppet dark ride. That'd be amazing at DHS.

Disney's been pushing Figment hard the past couple years & people have been loving it. I think that's reason enough to think they might be doing something with him.
How about, new figment ride, Muppet Vision in Magic Eye, and then DHS can have another expansion area to put in a new land. Originally I was going to put Indy here, now I’m not sure for what.
The Muppets should stay at DHS. It's an iconic decades long running series (much like Star Wars & Toy Story). The Muppets are actors who are always trying to put on a show so it's a way to keep the park's original theme still somewhere within the park while being an IP.

I enjoyed the Muppets during their stint at Liberty Square. I still wish they kept it :(
