Figment Merchandise

Hello, I know a lot of us collect Figment merchandise from over the years. Are any of you looking to sell any of these items? I am specifically looking for cups, mugs, towels, or shirts, but I'll expand my collection with other items, should I encounter a really cool item. Specifically, do any of you have this towel:

Even if you aren't looking to sell your Figment collection, post pictures of your stuff! (Can anyone beat Figment82's shrine?!)

(Disclaimer: I know this thread fits much better in the Merchandise forum, but pictures are disabled in there, and although it's a secondary concern, few people peruse that forum, anyway).

I have one of the old original "life size" figgy plush. I lost his shirt and one of his wings fell off, but I still love him. *hugs da figgy*

The newer figgy merch just isn't as nice. The old style looked a lot more like figment then just a silly plush.

I, too, have noticed that there is a serious lack of quality on the newer merchandise, especially the plushes. Here is a comparison:

Old:

You may not be able to notice a difference, but trust me, it's huge. The 'themed' Figments are especiall ugly. The astronaut Figment plush is a far cry from what the old character (or even old pvc figure) looked like.

This is a great thread. :D

The photos of my Shrine are actually outdated by 2 years - I have *a lot* more that has yet to be added (I'm running out of room). I'm hoping to catalog everything at some point, if only just to know how many items I actually have!

I agree that quality has really gone hill in recent years.

Oh, and I do have that beach towel - it's adorable!

Figment82, not to be rude, but GET YOUR STUFF ORGANIZED AND POST YOUR NEW PICTURES. SOME OF US FIGMENT FREAKS REALLY WANT TO SEE THIS STUFF AND ALL YOU DO IS KEEPING TEASING IT! ;)

Uh, I would gladly, but I'm about 600 (soon to be more like 800) miles away from my Figgy stuff at the moment, and won't be home any time soon (the earliest would be this summer).

Sorry... :(

Oh, well, that's too bad.

Another question for those at JII recently: do they currently have Figment towels for sale? I seem to recall purple beach towels last August, do they have those or other towels? If anyone could go one step further and tell me how much they cost, that would be wonderful!

Even the difference between the merchandise two years ago and today is shocking at the JII shop. I could not find a SINGLE Figment thing in the store last week that I didn't either already have or think was too "junky". There was substantially less Figment stuff and more "generic" park stuff, as well. I couldn't find anything I wanted, except for the Figment '82 grey zippered sweatshirt that I got last time I was there and a friend ruined...and they were out of that in my size. So I ended up coming home with NOTHING Figment  (the towel was there, as previously mentioned...I probably should have just bought a second one, since I use the one I own already so much)

One thing I did notice, though, is that they are really hyping Figment as one of the "park icons" now...all of the EPCOT merchandise has Figment, Nemo, a space ship, a Soarin' airplane, and a test track car on it. So that did make me want to buy some of the EPCOT t-shirts and frames, and it made me believe there is still a chance they'll give JII some much-needed love.

Is this the sweat-shirt you're talking about?

How much does it cost at Epcot? I just got it for $11 off eBay for my girlfriend, and I figured that was a pretty good deal...

As for Figment on all of the Epcot stuff, I wonder what to think about that... Does it mean Figment is still a 'big seller' or is it just to placate the 'old fans'? Any ideas?

I have all of the old PVC figures and two Figment dolls. I have one of the originals, and it's not furry, it's more like felt - and it is NOT overly pretty. I also have one of the furry ones which is much nicer...still both have their horns on backwards - ever notice that?

In process of moving, so my merch is packed away, but I will post pix soon enough.

Another issue I have is that all the shirts they sell are so girly. My 3yo son loves figment, but I couldn't find a tshirt for him that wasn't purple. We did get him a really cool piece of hand-drawn figment artwork at MGM though.

Haven't noticed the backwards horns (I say this while looking at my figment plush...am I missing something?) but I know what you're talking about with the old figment plushes. The ones from when the park first opened; when I first saw one, I thought it was homemade. Perhaps the quality/look are just a product of the time period it was made?

Does anyone have one of these cups?

If so, you could make a decent amount on eBay (that one just sold for $20...I couldn't bring myself to bid that much even though I really, really want it).

I'm interested to see what other pictures of Figment are on the cup!

I have the Figment towel. It is only used when I am at Disney.

I also have a Figment doll that is from early on - not fuzzy, horns on backwards.

I don't know how to post a pic:( .

Here is how you post pictures (thanks to JML42691 for taking the time to make this!)

The following are instructions to post images to threads using photobucket, which is the easiest upload site in my own opinion.

NOTE: These intstuctions may only work with computers running on an XP operating system. Vista, OX10 or any other systems may require other directions

Step 1:
After creating a photobucket account, click the browse link on the main photobucket page.
step1a.jpg

Step 2:
Choose the photo that you want to upload and then click open.
step1b.jpg

Step 3:
Click upload on the photobucket page.
step1c.jpg

Step 4:
Scroll down on the photobcuket site and click the link uder your photo that reads, "URL Link". This will automatically copy the link.
step5.jpg

Step 5:
On WDW Magic, click the post reply icon to bring you to the reply box.
step1.jpg

Step 6:
Click the icon that looks like mountains with a yellow sky.
step2.jpg

Step 6a:
You may be promted by your comuter to allow scripted messages. This is normal and is not a problem. Simply click the box.
step3.jpg

Step 6b:
Click "temprarily allow scripted windows"
step4.jpg

Step 6c:
Repeat Step 6 again, and you should not have to repeat 6a,b, and c

Step 7:
A box should pop up after clicking the mountains w/ yellow sky button. Paste the link that was automatically copied from the photobucket site into the field in this box and then click OK.
step6.jpg

Step 8:
