I could see this working as an animated film similar to the Figment edutainment films from the late 80s.I know some people really love the purple dragon, but I don’t think this is a good idea.
I don't think it can hurt. A good film will raise Figment's profile and lead to a much-needed refurbishment of the ride; a bad film will simply fade away without diminishing his popularity.I know some people really love the purple dragon, but I don’t think this is a good idea.
Good point! I’m especially sensitive to parks IP crossing over to the screen.I don't think it can hurt. A good film will raise Figment's profile and lead to a much-needed refurbishment of the ride; a bad film will simply fade away without diminishing his popularity.
Generally risky, but in this case, we have nothing to lose.Good point! I’m especially sensitive to parks IP crossing over to the screen.
I’d prefer to see something in the style of the Disney animated classics rather than the educational films aimed at elementary schoolers. Something with the Paperman animation style but in color and the classic sincere style writing that appeals to all ages (none of the meta/overly self deprecating stuff like you see in a lot of the modern day stuff made now)I could see this working as an animated film similar to the Figment edutainment films from the late 80s.
