Fifth Gate rumor

I understand the Wikipiedia is user driven and alot of things are not actual factual but i stumbled accross this and through it would make for a good discussion point. Theye are claiming this is in the works for the fifth gate at WDW based on the original idea for the park in Virgina that never happened.

"New rumors have arisen that Disney's America would be combined with the Disney Sea concept for the fifth theme park to be built at the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The timeframe for the park's opening is in the early 2010's. "

I'm still a fan of bringing Disney America to DC. I just can't accept spending a few days there looking at museums w/o a little fun. The only thing wrong with this is that somebody else isn't financing it. That's how DisneySea came to be in the first place. They dropped too much into the slagging AK and DCA without the grandest of results. Besides, I'm sure they would like to see at least 10-12 Mil at each park first before feeling the need to build a new one.

While I would love to see an American version of Disney Seas or another 5th gate come to WDW, I don't want to get my hopes up until I see some MAJOR land clearing on the property.

Welcome to the forums! Just FYI Before you post on this stuff you might want to search the forums. I only say this becuase in a little bit you might get beat up a bit for posting something that is kind of a sore subject on these boards. I appericate the post though and it is a nice dream isn't it, even though more likely then not we will not see a 5th gate for quite some time if at all. Thanks for posting!

But the pen is hovering over the contract as we speak ... drops of ink have already dripped onto the paper for the HarryPotterLand.

If they would combine the projects then what would it be called: Disney's American Sea's :lol:. Anway, i think it would be cool if they would just build Disney Sea and make it better than the one in Tokyo. I would only be in favour of this if they have no price cuts. Also, i dont think there needs to be a new park untill MGM gets a few more rides and Animal Kingdom gets Beastly Kingdom. Then, yeah, build us a awesome 5th gate.

This isn't really a repost, he is bringing to light a resource (wikipedia) that I haven't seen before.

Let them fix Disney-MGM Studios, complete Animal Kingdom, update the transportation system, and rehab things throughout the resort before even considering a new park.

Vary good point STR8FAN2005, i doubt it would/will cost as much money as creating a 5th gate...
