I don't know... but I think they are REALLY missing out of something not creating a Lion King/Pride Rock LAND instead of just having the FOTLK show and then building crapatar

Well, they say it will be air conditioned. I'm also hoping it will be a great building inside. I kind of like the idea of FotLK in Africa, but never had a real problem with CMM...I just think they should (and could) have done so much more with CMM.

But I HAD forgotten the whole reason for the move. I am firmly on the "No Avatarland in the AK" side of the whole thing and am now just hoping for a great FotLK building, but back to worrying about them putting in an Avatarland.

I don't believe anything until it opens. Even if people get the right info, Disney has been known to change its mind. They are not the most decisive group on the planet. But that's big companies for you. I'm sure even people with inside info (which I am so not) would agree with that.

It would be great if Avatarland never materialized. IMO. So insiders who say it won't are my favorites to hear.

I am all for them to move FOTLK, they need a better stage but I hope that Avatar land will just disappear into an Imaginers trash bin.

Hmm, makes me think we should petition them to build something using this popular movie and its memorable characters, instead of Avatar, whose characters nobody seems to remember their names, just that they're big blue people.

yet it was one of the most popular movies ever

and i really dont want to get in another debate about avatar...afterall this thread is about FOTLK moving which has nothing to do with avatar as far as what the insiders are saying

For reference, here is a picture someone else posted in another thread showing the plans from the Florida Water Management district permit overlaid on the aerial. You can see that there is work happening all along the river so the walls on the bridge would be to hide the view of this work.

Look a little closer. I see lots of extras including a new bridge and pathways. It screams "Joe Rhode Was Here".

Right, and sadly, the picture above pretty much proves this. It's a shame really, and hopefully we're wrong, but it doesn't seem like they're doing anything special/new with it. Also, it seems odd to me that, but if I'm looking at correctly, the entrance to it will be along the river, before crossing the bridge, and BEFORE you even get to Africa.
