I, for one, absolutely LOVE the tracksuit. As an 18 year old Londoner working in fashion, I know how "in" the look is!

I have a strange feeling that the outfit is supposed to look "seapunk". 90s rave hologram tracksuits. the little round glasses are a giveaway! Think 3d dolphins and palm trees and steel synth.

I know it may seem silly to some, but i think the sea reference through current fashion is SO, SO clever, and something totally new!

ps, it has two giant spinning seahorses off the side of it. Don't tell me it's not whimsy enough. ;)

EDIT: Do the seahorses not look like spinning poi? Something that someone wearing this outfit may or may not be seen doing? What a mind-blowing reference. Applause for this costume.

WHOA, sorry Im late chimming in here! I am just speechless I don't know what to say!! :joyfull: I am soo happy for WDW! This truly is a fantastic start to, what hopefully will be more, amazing parades to come at WDW!

Jumping ahead to the video of the Fashion Show. The opening fanfare music that all of you pointed out!! My god!! The horns, drums, synth... They truly could not have picked a better opening for this parade! Hearing that opening fanfare on the parade route will Totally spells out the mind blowing experience that guests are about to be hit with rolling down the parade route!! :D

Maybe they aren't done with them. From what I understand, there are several costumes and floats that weren't shown. So, maybe there will be more changes made between now and the 16th.
I don't think they would have presented an unfinished costume, but I can see them reinventing it after this. Even if they keep the track suit, I love the spinning seahorses. And the Newsies-inspired Lost Boys costumes ARE. FREAKING. AWESOME. I was obsessed with the film growing up and I am so happy that Newsies is receiving more recognition now, with a Broadway production and the Trolley Show in DCA, than it did when I was a kid.

that is the opening fanfare then goes into the main theme song and then the opening unit music

So that was the main theme after the fanfare? I was expecting it to get really fast and upbeat like some had mentioned on here. Im not saying its bad. Looking forward to hearing it in full with lyrics!

There might be more "chilly" news about FOF eventually.

I don't want to get my hopes up but.. They said 9 floats... I thought there was 8? Unless they are counting Dumbo as a separate float and not part of Pinocchio like it was in Jubilation?

The Peter Pan float...does the ship swing with the anchor (both pivoting on the rainbow) or is it just the anchor that swings? I've been wondering this since the artwork.
I'm pretty sure that they both swing, think of it like I said earlier ^^^ like a pendulum

I already know what part of the parade will see cuts first and probably very shortly after the debut, IF the "Suits" don't make cuts sooner, and that's Maleficent and the cast of that unit. Especially if Aurora will be inside the dragon! That will Not go over well with the "little ones" lol nor will the "creepy" costumes, fire effect.. Major rolling my eyes!! Sadly I don't think adults and fans of Maleficent will win.

I highly, highly doubt that is going to be an issue. Steven Davison has done plenty of productions with elements like these that have never had a problem. If the "suits" had a problem with the content, Steven would have had to have cut them already. Contrary to what some may believe, but a villain element to a parade (or any entertainment production), that includes fire or "darker" effects, has been just fine in many Disney entertainment productions.

When it comes to cuts...the only thing that typically has to be worried about is special effects. Esp. with TDO. They aren't exactly the best executive team when it comes to keeping everything up to show quality standards. And with Steven Davison (WDI-CE) productions, it's a hell of a lot more than just old floats and a character flood. His productions are very intricate and elaborate, and very technology and performance driven.

As of right now, I doubt there is anything to worry about.
