FESTIVAL OF FANTASY CUTBACKS

We were in Magic Kingdom today and I was shocked while watching FOF. There weren't any of the yellow dress dancers and overall there were a lot less dancers. The pinnochio float was missing and the stilt dancers were flat footed. I was dissapointed by this. I heard that the workers are on strike due to low pay, but another cause may be the fact that Disney is creating another parade and they are training their cast members for the new routines. Does anyone know why this happened today?

Could be general disarray caused by the eclipse.
A lot of people around the country took time off today to travel with friends and family to the totality zones.

Another thread says there was rain during the parade.

If heavy rain threatens to fall anywhere on the route anytime during the show window the parade may be held, delayed, curtailed or run with various parts curtailed or removed. Think several variations of a rainy day cavalcade.

Last resort is cancellation.

Two weeks ago we watched the parade and there was no fire from Maleficent. Weather seemed fine.

Bigger bummer is that one of the tumble monkeys called in sick or something so they cut that whole segment out of FotLK.

Everything you describe are standard changes for festival of fantasy any time there is a threat of rain. It was 100% weather related. There is no strike.
