Ferry from Wildnerness Lodge to Fort Wilderness

Hey, guys! I'm about to make another trip down to the world and have a question that I'm sure y'all can answer!

We're going to the Hoop De Doo at 5pm but are wanting to wander around the wildnerness lodge beforehand (it's one of the only resorts we've never even visited!). I was wondering what are the hours on the ferry that runs between the two resorts and if you need any special requirements to take it, or if it will simply shuttle anyone? We want to make sure that when we get out from the show we'll be able to get back to our car at the lodge.

Anyone can ride the boats between Fort Wilderness and the Wilderness Lodge. I think they usually run until about 10:00 PM or so...

Anybody can ride them, you need do nothing more than show up at the dock. There are different routes so make sure you talk to the CM before bording, don't want to end up at the MK.
The ferry runs all day until about an hour or so after the parks close. Make sure you leave yourself enough time to make the trip across and walk on into the Hoop Dee Do.

Wilderness Lodge also has a bus to Fort Wilderness. It shares stop #1 at the Lodge and it's first stop will be the Settlement depot. The Settlement depot is also where you access the Hoop Dee Doo. The bus also tends to be a little faster if time becomes an issue for you. Bus runs about every 10 minutes, while the boat is more like every 15 minutes.

There is also a walking path between the two resorts. It is actually a pleasant short walk if it is not too hot out.

If the OP is going sometime soon, I'll go on a limb and say IT'S TOO HOT OUT!!! :ROFLOL:

But seriously, while the boat is more scenic, the buses seem to run with more frequency. If you'd rather spend more time perusing FW, I'd opt for the bus.

I missed the soon part. Never read and entertain an infant at the same time.:D
