Hello everyone!

I was wondering if anyone has any advice about going in the month of February? I've been to Disney many times, but never in February.

Also, we're planning on going at this time bc it's my daughter's 2nd birthday in Feb. Any advice on travelling with a 2 year old. We went there when she was 6 months old, so it's not her first time, but it's our first time going with a 2 year old!

Thanks for all your advice!

Pack clothes for both warm and cold. May be high 70's one day and 50's the next. Also expect lows in the mid 40's- 50's. February is actually a good time for young kids. Magic Kingdom closes earlier most nights, which will make Wishes fireworks earlier so the little ones will be awake to see it. Other than that its not much different than any other time of year. Usually a little less crowded. Watch out for High school Cheerleading nationals though. It's usually in early February. Hope this helps.

Everything is spot on, I'd also like to add refurbishments. January and Febuary are "slow/down" times in Disney which make it great and bad to go. I haven't rode Splash Mountain in 4 years since ive been going in January. But the wait times are very low, and worth it. (Rode RnRC 9 times in a row without a wait, and didn't go more because I was tired)

Parks do tend to close early but like Jeff said, it works with the younger ones anyhow. As for dates in case you are curious the only day I can think of that would be hectic is Presidents day (possibly valentines) On a day like that if you're going during that week, I would skip parks that day hang out in DTD and maybe take your daughter to the Bippity Boppity Boutique! Hanging around the resort, going to the pool, exploring resorts, mini golfing etc.

If there is anything else your curious about, ask away!

Thank you!! That's great advice. I totally forgot about President's Day! Something to think about. Also, you mentioned swimming... Do you think it will be warm enough to go swimming?? Thanks again :)

Weather in February can vary. Few years ago we went in January and we were so cold we never took off our coats. Last year the first day was freezing and after that it was 70s+ the whole time, so yes it's a possibility. You can also head to weather.com and look up Disney World and see averages for the month of February. Here in New England anything above 65 count me in especially with heated pools:)

Valentine's/ Presidents Day week will be extra hectic this year as it's also Mardi Gras week. It's possible lots of Lousianians will headed to Orlando to enjoy their week off.

February is scattered with wrong times to be there. Things that get in the way:

#1 Superbowl if it is at one of the FL stadiums
#2 President's week
#3 Daytona 500
#4 Mardi Gras (all of Louisiana are off school that week)
#5 Princess Half Marathon (I think). Not a huge crowd, but MK and Epcot are No-No's that morning

Well, hopefully the week of my daughter's birthday won't be too bad... Can't change her birthday and that's when I want to go. lol

Overall February is a good month especially the first week and last week. Superbowl 2016 is in CA so no worries there, the 2nd weekend will be valentines, presidents day, and mardi gras crowds and the 3rd week princess run. Regardless of when you go crowds are still going to be lower than they are in summer or for spring break. Best advice is to just pack for every weather condition. Hot, cold, Rain... Florida has unpredictable weather.
