I have a quick question - DH and I were thinking of going in Feb. of 2008 but we have heard from other co-workers to hold off and go w/in the first 2 weeks of Nov. as the crowd size is about the same? Has anyone been @ both times and liked one time better than the other? We are not sure which one to pick re the crowd size......

I have been in both months and I think that they are about the same. Thanksgiving week is really crowded we did that once and will never do it again but the first of November is great as is February, We went after President's day.)

I have been in Feb and March as well as Nov. Nov. was great crowd wise and the week before Thanksgiving you can see the Holiday decorations.
I can remember there being some Cheerleading competition in either Feb or Mar when we were there. It was a weeklong Cheerleading competition held at the Indy show at MGM(DHS) and it seemed that WDW was invaded by the tweens. Not overwhelming but enough to say why didn't I check this out before planning. Just something you may want to check out beforehand.

go both

well i have been there just about every week of the week and thanksgiving is busy and the worse is christmas week thru new years and yet in 2008 i am planning to go there then as well so bottonline is if you do not mind the crownds and take the crowds as part of the magical disney experience then anytime is great.

regarding the point of your question i am going from oct 25th thru nov 5th this year and i am also going from feb 8th thru the 14th. the major difference to me is do you plan on using the water parks/pools. if you are then the october/november timeframe would be better because it is warmer. other than that the crowds are about the same with perhaps october/november a little more crowded especially in epcot due to the food & wine festival.

I went to WDW in 11/9 to 11/15 in 2003. I did some planning and it wasn't crowded at all. It rained only once during the day. The weather was mainly 70 degrees the entire time. I rarely had to put a sweatshirt on.

 We've been at both times, too. I always like going in February because it's such a blah time of year, and that gives me something to look forward to. But, I agree with the other post-er who mentioned that the weather in November might be a bit better, if that's important to you. (Oh, shoot, just go both times!)

Thanks

Thanks all for the input. DH is not a crowd person (yet he loves Disney!!!) so I am trying to do my best with picking the time to go. If only we could afford to go twice in one year - I would be there without hesitation!!! :p

I have only been in January and February but find the first two weeks of February best of all....avoid Presidents day weekend and week following though....it was much different that week and the crowds we noticably LARGE compared to the previous 4 weeks we have been there. Going into the second week of February we have had some very nice weather....80's! Earlier than that we were lucky to see 74 but that was fine with us! Pool was heated after all....:king:
