Feb 2013 Crowd Level Question.

Hello everyone! My husband just surprised me with money for a trip next year for our 10 year anniversary (hooray!). We are trying to decide between Feb 2014 or May 2014. We had our honeymoon in May and usually go during that time and we of course love it. However, a few years ago we went during the last week of January/first week of February and had a wonderful time. The crowds were very low and we had very short waits on most rides. It really made for a different trip. Although we were planning on choosing May since it's our anniversary month, I started leaning towards February due to the crowds.

I've heard that this past February has been very busy though during the first week.

Did anyone go during this time this year and can share they experience with the crowds? I would really appreciate some feedback.

Thanks!

This year February was packed... and this year it was cool/cold... Will it be like that next year my guess would be yes. I would pick May. Its before the kids get out of school and it is warm enough where you can stay by the pool if it is crowded.

Welcome to WDWMagic... :)

Thanks so much for the information. I was afraid of that. I do remember that we weren't able to go in the pool as much in Feb and the parks did close earlier. I'm just thankful that we had such a great trip last time and look forward to the next trip. Crowded or not, it's still the best place to be!:)

Thanks again!

I knew some people who went in February and they said it was busy because of Louisianians getting out of the state during the Mardi Gras Holiday and that was near President's Day as well. I would have to agree that May would be the best time to go. I think the weather will be great and maybe you will be there during the Flower & Garden Festival.

We were there from feb 8 - 17 and it was packed. At times it seemed busier than thanksgiving or Christmas. We had gone in feb before the week after presidents weekend and it was busy, but nothing like this year. However, I'd go again.

If you have a choice, avoid Presidents Day week. Note that all Massachusetts public schools have vacation that week. And you know how we northeasterners like to crowd the parks! :) There are several factors that crowd the parks, of course, but this is one to keep in mind.

I had GREAT weather the 2 days I was there ( Feb. 6 & 7) and it wasn't totally crazy (75-80 degrees). Busier than when I was there last September but not unbearable.
