The Lobby at Coronado Springs. There is a fountain when you first walk in ... and it smells CLEAN.

- Oh ... and if you want to smell Rome Burning in your own home. Go out and get your self a box of Lapsang Souchong from Twinnings. Every bag smells identical to the Burning of Rome!

1.Eucolyptus by the coffin in HM
2.Rain forest on LWTL
3.Cherry Pie in Mickey's Philharmagic
4.Honey in shop after The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
5.Soap (bar) at the resorts

BTW: The Burning of Rome is sulfer. It's a sick smell and I always hold my breath when passing through there. But I guess if you like, more power to ya. :p

I can't believe so many people said the monorail. When I was there last year I got in two cars and both smelled like a combination of a loaded diaper and rancid BO. And I was actually looking forward to it, because i always remembered the smell of the air conditioning units.

My favorite smell would have to be MK or AK first thing in the morning. The smell of coffee and flowers at AK and the smell that MK just has at that time, I can't put a finger on what it is.

A few years back the TTC smelled like puke. :hurl: Both the monorail and ferry boat in that area smelled like it too.

Along the same lines, when Epcot gets ready for the Flower & Garden Festival, there is a heavy oder of fertilizer lingering in the air outside of the Imagination Pavillion.

Back home, whenever I smell Cinnamon it reminds me of disney
So for me, it is that smell as you walk up main street that smells heavenly of Cinnamon and I think - I'm here again and I love it!!:slurp:
I also love the Apple Pie smell in Philarmagic!!

The most unique smell... and one that always hits me, is when you first walk into the AKL lobby. It's such a rich eroma(sp?) and takes me back to Sept. 2004 during my first visit to the world. The apple pie in Philharmagic is close behind:p

They used to sell the BEST Cinnamon Buns in the Land...it was my favorite smell as a kid, and everytime I smell them anywhere now, it takes me back to being 7 at Disney.

Athough we all love the smells of Disney, and my list goes on and on...Does anyone know if those smells can be reproduced outside the parks?

If you or someone you know owns a Ford Windstar, the air conditioning smells just like that fabulous Disney water (at least ours does). I shut my eyes and I am instantly transported to the wonderfully chlorinated H20 inside Pirates of the Caribbean.

Other favorite smells:

- The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street. Oh, that place is heaven. I feel like I'm drowning drowning in ice cream (in a good way).
- The Haunted Mansion. That dark and dank smell is absolutley delicious.
- Disney air conditioning all over the resort.
- Star Tours also has a distinct smell. It's a motion-simulator-smell-that's-still-stuck-in-the-1980s-because-it-needs-a-major-update-but-
still-smells-like-good-old-Disney-nostalgia. You know, that kind of smell.

Awesome topic, by the way. Aroma is a major factor in my love for Disney destinations, simply because of the olfactory connection to memory.

I love the smell inside Dinosaur when you're loading onto the ride. Also the smell inside Universe of Energy w/the dinosaurs. lol I dunno what it is with me and dinosaur smelling stuff.

Definitely the oranges in Soarin' and burning Rome on Spaceship Earth. :animwink:

The lobby of the Polynesian.

To me, it still smells the same today as it did the first time I walked in there in the spring of 1973. That was such a memorable smell for a 4 year old, that it has stuck around for many, many years! The vegetation, flowers, and water create a really unique smell... it lets me know that I'm at Disney!

Smell of water rides
Smell of turkey legs
Smell of funnel cakes (ahhh...)
Smell of rome burning
And whoever brought up the smell of Dinosaur, you're right.
When you enter the loading area you notice a unique smell that can
only be from Dinosaur (atleast unique for me anyways).

Other than that, I noticed at many places it smelled like sewage,
especially at MK. Hopefully they can fix that.

Edit: Oh yeah! The smell of the fog from the Fantasia floats during Spectro.
