While I respect your point of view as well, the reason I can't put TofT above Star Tours is because of the broken effects, especially the queue line, a fact I did not realize until going on the DL version. Although I don't like the DL version as well, it was in prime condition and all of the effects were working. Meanwhile, Star Tours is in great condition. I'm also basing this on overall experience. Star Tours is a fantastic experience from start to finish. TofT gives you a thrill to look at...but the queue is...meh...compared to others, and the whole thing just needs an overhaul.

The old version of Star Tours was just a movie. Actually, I couldn't even ride the old one because it made me motion sick. The new one feels very lifelike.

Like I said, I love both, but TofT needs a major refurb.
Oh, that's a whole different animal. I AGREE!! The broken effects, poor audio, and overall awful maintenance make Tower of Terror frustratingly less than it could be.

However, I will say that it's much more difficult to keep ToT at 100% because there is so much to it. Tons of effects, audio, and sheer brute force. Stars Tours is essentially a movie and more easily operates at its peak performance, but it is in better shape for sure.

Speaking of movies, you'd think Soarin' would be in better shape if it's just a movie...

Haunted Mansion, for sure. It has a fascinating history and is timeless. It's also fun to have something so creepy in a place typically perceived as so happy. ;)

Hands down, Star Tours. I would ride it until I experienced all 54 combinations....and finally selected to be the Rebel Spy.

I voted Space Mountain - used to be Splash until I realized how gross the water must be. But I'm weird...I kinda love Dinosaur.

Although not normally anyone's favourite ride, unless you're about 5 years old, mine is actually dumbo. This is mainly due to such magical experiences that my partner and I had last time we went to wdw. Especially watching the nighttime fireworks whilst ride on it! THE best place to watch them imo. Sometimes I think it's the memories of us acting like small kids again and laughing that make the ride.

A lot of this question has to do with a time in history. All of WDW was ahead of its time in the 70s and early 80s. The problem is there have been no real innovation in the ride section other than RnRC and ToT. The 3D/4D rides have been around forever. Test Track is OK. All it did was take a fast moving vehicle and put the G's in from a bank. WDW is clearly lacking on the Thrill Ride section. US/IoA have WDW beat hands down on this. They can easily incorporate more thrill rides at DHS. Imagine Tie Fighters and X-Wings like dueling dragons. They can even put it inside like Space Mountain.

Haunted Mansion is the best ride. It's placement in the park is perfect. Your mood changes the second you see it in the distance. You're immersed in its world even before you step into line. The only thing that keeps it from being perfect is the addition of interactive stuff in the queue, which IMO spoils the atmosphere. Thankfully, everything inside is still perfect.

From your list, Space Mountain is my favorite. I think it's an ethereal, otherworldly (;)) ride. I have a special place for roller coasters, anyways. I love the speed, the sound effects, and the visuals (the flashing lights at the beginning, the stars. The darkness for most of the ride makes it mysterious and exciting. It fits perfectly in Tomorrowland and is a timeless ride. So, yes, SM is my favorite from your list. :)

It is hard for me to pick one, I've always been partial to the 'authentic' Disney rides. I'm not one for most of the thrill rides (EE, ToT, etc..)

I really can't narrow it down to a top 1 ride.. my top 3 would be Safari (love seeing the animals in the environment they created), Jungle Cruise (I've always been a fan of corny jokes), Haunted Mansion (classic Disney) and honorable mention for Pirates.

I love Tower of Terror. I think the only flaw against it is that, unlike some of the most memorable Twilight Zone episodes, there's a lack of a clear moral lesson, so in emulating the spirit of the show it falls a little flat. Otherwise, everything from the sign out front all the way to the exit tickles my fancy.

Such a hard question to answer. Feel like I'm debating myself in my head for minutes before I can even start typing. I'll have to cheat and go with multiple. Star Tours, POTC, HM and BTM.
