Favorite WDW Resort?

Both of the resorts I have stayed at are my favorite, each for different reasons.

The Poly because it was the first time any of us had ever been to WDW and what a way to experience it.

The Jambo House because my son wanted to stay here for his HS graduation celebration.

Next resort will be special because we will be celebrating my DGD's entry into the teen years

I don't have a favorite yet. I loved CSR , I loved BC, I loved POLY. And for a value I even loved POP we were close to the pool and the pool bar and the laundry so I loved it.. I did not love CBR or AKL, but I would stay at both again for reasons relating to money and grandkids who did have alot of fun at those resorts. I think I might love the Dolphin but I only stayed there one night so didn't quite get enough time on property to find out if I liked it alot or loved it... I really want to try all the resorts at least once ...

The swan.although some people might prefer a magic kingdom location or use of a monorail ,my favourite resort hotel is the swan.you can walk to DHS or epcot ,the rooms and beds are really nice, and you have boardwalk and fantasia golf.

We had quite a few discussions about this over our last trip.

While Boardwalk was our fave of the Epcot area resorts and we'd consider AKL if we were staying there for non-park days (just feels too remote for us), it came down to the 4 MK area resorts for deciding on faves since we decided that it's our favorite area to stay in at WDW.

DH's is definitely WL- and while I love the common areas, the rooms are just too small for my tastes. The Contemporary is my fave b/c I actually really like the rooms and the Mary Blair work in the tower screams "I'm at Disney World" to me. Yeah- I'm a huge Mary Blair fan! :) However, I must give the Poly and GF some honorable mentions points...while I could never stay at the GF b/c the room decor reminds me of my great grandmother's place  (although I LOVE the size of their rooms), the GF lobby is by far my favorite onsite. On the flipside, I think the Great Ceremonial house/lobby areas at the Poly are a giant yawn :( ; however I really like their rooms...to the point that I probably would consider staying there at some point.

Standard -- the resort is so small you don't need to ask for anything special. Personally, the "water view" rooms are loud -- you hear the honking of the boats every ten minutes. The pool-facing rooms are loud because of the music they pump out in the pool area until 11:00 pm...Preferred rooms are closer to the food court -- but NOTHING at the POFQ is more than a three minute walk to the food commons. Unlike any other resort, there really isn't a need to book anything but a standard room at POFQ.

So all the rooms are pretty much the same distance to the bus stop?
