Love the MCO Monorail...the ultimate "Welcome to WDW" for us. Followed by the boardwalk of Frontierland, International Gateway/France/UK of EPCOT, and the Lakeside Circle of MGM Studios. :)

Well first, nothing beats walking into MK and seeing the castle for the first time on that trip, makes me tear up every time. The smell of the pirates of the caribbean ride, singing with a bus load of people to the music they play on the ride back to pop century, getting a wake up call every day by a character (althought i like stich, i miss when it was the original characters), singing along to the beginning of Wishes and having that song stuck in my head for the rest of the night, falling asleep on my fiance's shoulder on the bus ride back to the hotel, getting our picture taken with all the characters and not feeling like a loser for doing so :sohappy: the list could go on forever

Walking towards the Epcot ticket area and hearing the Entrance music for the first time of the trip...
People watching.
Hearing my son say to me countless times the first couple days, "We're here!!"
All the wonderful smells in the Magic Kingdom.
Shopping in the World of Disney or Mouse Gear.
Sitting on the curb and waiting for the MK parade to start.

*Seeing the Castle
*getting all teary-eyed when I hear "When you wish upon a star"
*seeing where castmembers hail from on their nametags
*talking to people I've never met about Disney-related things
*watching kids faces light up when they see Mickey Mouse or the princesses
*standing in front of the Tree of Life and seeing just how big it is and just how small I am.
*seeing families together

Just to name a few. I'm sure there will be more after I go with my BF in February.

Everything from the ride on the mco monorail that says you're almost there, to the 'soft water' (less minerals than up north) that makes the shampoo really lather up in the hotel rooms, the different smells everywhere you go, the background music, people watchng, waiting to leave the parks till your almost the last one in there and nobodys around the list goes on and on.

I can think of a million different things, but I'm going to limit myself to one thing per park.

Outside of the parks I like to just drive around in my car or by riding the bus and look at all of the different signs. Either for directions to somewhere or entrance signs to resorts or parks.

At the Magic Kingdom I like walking down Mainstreet U.S.A. at night when it's all lit up. It just seems more alive, totally different from the daytime.

At EPCOT I like fireflies in the trees and fiberoptics on the sidewalks near Spaceship Earth at night when leaving.

At Animal Kingdom I like to explore all of the little hidden areas where the animals are, like around the Tree of Life.

At Hollywood Studios I love doing the wave while waiting for Fantasmic to start. I don't think it would be the same without it.

From another fellow RIer and a "townie"...
Rides and food are extremely important to me but two favorite things that aren't in these categories are
1. Walking slowly around World Showcase after Illuminations when the crowds are diminishing and Tapestry of Nations music is playing, and
2. Renting a water mouse at the Contemporary marina and bombing around Bay Lake and the Seven Seas lagoon.

Probably the sounds, smells and sights...the atmosphere if you will, that can ONLY be experienced in WDW. It's funny that most people who have been to WDW (most of us on here, of course) always seem to encounter a smell outside of the parks or resort (usually at home, work, mall, etc) that instantly reminds them of a certain spot or place from a past trip. :)

Also high on my list would be the quality family time and countless memories created while on a WDW vacation with the family. :sohappy:

It has not happened many times but being with someone or seeing someone who is curious and willing to give the liberty bell a little ring only to BONNNNNNNG so loudly and really emberassingly.

Is it still cushioned? I remember it being more cushioned than it used to be probably for the people like mentioned above...but I did find it funny.

Another more typical one for me is waving to people on Maelstrom either on the ride or from the ground level if someone happens to look. Something about that little opening into the ride that makes me love doing that so much.

Also EPCOT related and partly food related so apologize would be eating at San Angel Inn and when sitting near the railing acting like a jerky animatronic with my movements to see if anyone on the boats passing by laugh (yes, sometimes they do)

i particularly enjoyed doing the hustle at Pop at dinner time too

The extras that make the atmosphere what it is really makes me happy....

the streetmosphere players, the streetcar show (MK), Citizens of Hollywood (HS)

Additionally some of the most fun we have as a family is the character drawing in the Animation courtyard of Studios. This is a must for us and while somewhat "attraction" related its really more an extra for us.

You will have to call Disney UK (number on web site) unless you want to pay international phone rates. When you can book is 180 days before, but if you are staying at Disney you can book 10 days on top of that. Disney UK can be useless at times so Id opt to pay for the international call.

My favorite thing is to be with the man I love (my husband of course) and just be at Disney. Walking through any of the parks and also we love visiting the Hotels on site. One of my very favorite things to do is be at Animal Kingdom Lodge and share breakfast or dinner with my hubby out on the balcony watching the animals out back and just be in the moment.
I doubt there is anything I don't like when I am at Disney.
Well maybe one thing I don't like....Cranky Nasty Mean people.... Happy Holidays Everyone and I wish you all health love and tons of happiness in the New Year!!!:xmas::wave:

The themeing and sheer beauty of the property at my favorite resort - New Orleans Riverside (especially in the morning) - the trees covered in spanish moss and the wildlife right out your door in the warmth and sunshine!
