I am heading to WDW for the first time and I was curious what is your favorite seat on each ride or attraction at Disney World and why?
For example:
I have never been to Disney World but my favorites at Disneyland are:
Thunder Mountain – back of train, it seems like you get whipped around more.
California Screamin’ – Front seat 0-60 definitely requires front seat.
Fireworks – My favorite seat is being on Splash Mountain. Great views of the fireworks and nobody is on the ride.

Soarin' NOT ROW 3! you can see the bottom of the screen and it totally ruins the experience (for me anyway)
HM-take 2 rides, one on the left, one on the right- 2 totally different experiences
RnR- I like the very back for the loops, but the very front for the launch is the best
ToT- Back row center- that way no one blocks you in the photo :)
Star Tours-Middle row/ Middle seat

BTMR: Definitely all the way in the back. VERY fun stuff.
RnR: I like sitting up front. Dark coaster, neon lights, and it seems like it's just you and the track.
Monorail: Anywhere, as long as the car is empty.
Space Mountain: First, I always go left. That's my deal. Second, the first car, first seat. I feel like there's more leg room. There probably isn't, but I'll pretend that there is.

Soarin' - Right smack dab in the middle of the middle row.
BTMRR - Back Seat
EE - Front Seat because you get a great view of SSE and Epcot, the back seat is also cool.
SM - anywhere
Dinosaur! - Front Seat all the way to the right.
RNRC - Front Seat since there aren't any big drops that make you fly out of your seat.
TOT - Front, right in the middle
Star Tours - Middle, Middle..the front seat is a bit close

We need time for things to happen.
Hmmm..good question.
I think my first response is:
As long as my tail end is securely propped in any WDW ride I'm happy as all get out.

My preferences however are as follows.

  • Back of BTMR
  • Front of SM
  • Top row of Soarin (seeing people's get away sticks hanging down kinda ruins the experience for me)
  • Front of RnRC (seems faster and smoother)

That's all I can think of right now...

My favorite seat is always the front of the ride if possible!!

My one exception is Star Wars..seems like the front row is the worst!!

I also like a nice bar stool for a cocktail by the pool !!

Front row Everest
Third car, front on Figment
Middle section, second row on Soarin
Back row on Maelstom

My very favorite, before they changed the ride, was front row on Dueling Dragons (now Dragon Challenge) at Uni. But I like the front and back of most real coasters. :)

Space: Row 6 - you get whipped
CoP: Front Center
Buzz: Right side
Pooh: Left side
Philharmagic: Mid center (for all 3D shows)
Dumbo, etc: Outside seat
Pan: Right side
HM: Left side
Regal Carosel: Shade table with a snack
Presidents: Front Center
Splash: Front
Thunder: Back car
Potc: a)Front row, then b) Back row
Jungle Cruise: near skipper (hearing)
Wishes: Hub
Spaceship Earth: Left
Nemo: does not matter
Soarin': B1 center
Test Track: Driver Seat (American)
Mission Space: It has been a while, but Commander?
Ellen: walk to front center section
RnR: It is in the middle around 8 or 9. A CM told us once that this middle row gets both the push and the pull at launch. We sat there and I swear he seemed to be truthful.
Tower: Front row, either side.
Great Movie Ride: near driver, see JC
Safari: Left side of truck, outter edge. Best for pics of: Rhinos, Hippos, Crocs, Largest elephant area, Second Rhinno area, Cheetahs, and Lions.
Everest: Front.
Dino: Right side, closest to Carno
and lastly.....

Kali: not next to my wife, as she gets SOAKED everytime I can get her on it, which is not as often as I would like because of this phenom.

Soarin- front row because that way you go the highest and wont see dangling feet!
BTMRR-Back seat (its a much wilder ride)
Splash Mountain- front of the log
Space Mountain- Front section for a smoother ride, back section for a wilder ride
RNRC- Again back seat gets whipped, but the front is great for the launch!
TOT- I prefer the back row, but the front is also good
EE- Back row if you want the quicker drops, and front seat if you want an awesome time going backwards
Dinosaur- Back row far left is the best. The scariest Dinosaur encounters and bigger movement
Star Tours- Back row is awesome
Maelstrom- Back row
GMR- back section in the middle
Muppet Vision 3D- Middle of the theater and middle in the row (good view of everything including the Swedish chef)
KS- anywhere at the end of a row

Any of the coaster rides I ask for front seats. Then on a second ride I ask for the back seat.
Splash I always ask for the front seat.
TOT Back row if I can get it, but any seat on TOT thrills me.
Muppet Vision Back row center
GMR near to the front to hear the CM better and get a view of the scenes as we approach
Star Tours prefer middle back row
Monorail anything available
JC Nearest the skipper
WDW RR just behind engineer
Liberty Belle Top deck, Bow
Hoop de doo Category 1 floor seats
Cirque always book section 103 center, seats 9 & 10
DME on the way front, on the return as far back as possible, I want to be the last one off the bus.
