Favorite ride in MK?

Out of all the rides in Magic Kingdom, what is your favorite ride and why? I really like Space Mountain the best. I like most rides that are in the dark because you never know what is coming! I also like all the ups/downs/fast turns of the ride. What is your favorite ride?

My favorite is POTC especially at night which I know is lame but I think it just adds more charm to the ride for me.

Splash Mountain, followed closely by Big Thunder and POTC and the Haunted Mansion.

...and by these being our "favorites," I mean we would actually cancel or reschedule an already-planned trip if we found out that any one of them was closed for refurbishment.

I appreciate Disney for nostalgia and reminders of childhood, so typically my "favorites" in the parks are things that bring me back the most. So with that logic I would have to say PotC only because of the memories throughout the years on it.

The Haunted Mansion. It has been my favorite since first visit in 1973. Have been on it dozens of times. I see something new every time I ride. I still wonder how they do some of the effects . I love it !

It might be a little lame cause when we go later this month I will be wearing my pirate hat and shirt, and yes I did purchase them both in the gift shop at the end if the ride.

Space Mountain for the same reason as the OP. I've ridden it many times, but I'm still surprised by some of the drops and turns. I dread the day that I'm too old to get in and out of the ride.

I don't know last time how I've missed the Haunted Mansion! We just didn't go by that area! We walked by it and we were like oh we will ride that later! we forgot to ride it! And for Splash Mountain previously both times we've went to Disney the middle of March, it's been closed for refurb. My dad wanted to like freak out because both times it was closed! This time we made sure to schedule a time right after it opens

yeah, i've never been to the MK when either Splash Mountain was open (March refurb time) or when it was even built.

PotC for sure. Nothing beats that catchy tune, cute humorous things, and just the smell of it. A ride we never miss while we are in the Magic Kingdom.

I also liked POTC but I mean I'm not too into those movies personally but I can completely understand who everybody loves it! It's pretty fun!

The ride however, came before the movies, I love it because of the atmosphere, not because of the movies.

Actually, Haunted Mansion. Always loved it, then I took the Keys to the Kingdom tour and learned about how it was built and I now look for things from the tour.
