Favorite queue

Pirates of the Caribbean. The attraction is just quintessential Marc Davis genius, it's a classic from beginning to end. I love the way it sets the mood for the ride and the music is iconic, for me it never gets dull. It also includes one of my favourite hidden gems at the resort, the never-ending game of chess between two skeleton pirates that completely encapsulates the legendary brilliance of Marc Davis.

I also really like the Tower of Terror queue. From the minute you enter the 'hotel' grounds it's completely immersive and it's made even better if you come across a CM in character which just adds to the brilliance of the attraction. The lobby waiting area is excellent and the music loop that plays throughout the queue, and the way it's been altered to sound so chillingly echoing, just makes the attraction so much better.

The Haunted Mansion would probably be my third choice for the original, classic queue through the graveyard. For any Disney enthusiast it's always fun to read the different tombstone and link them back to one of the legendary Imagineers who created the attraction. Again, an in-character CM really adds to the overall experience of the HM and the portraits in the stretching room are always fun to look at.

Other favourites would be the Great Movie Ride, Expedition Everest, Space Mountain (love the Star Tunnel music), The Jungle Cruise and Star Tours. But POTC would be my number one, a classic queue for a classic attraction.

I agree with all the post above, they are my favorites as well, for adults
but if you have the kids with you, Winine the Pooh is the clear winner. only queue you don't have to entertain the three year olds. they actually don't want to move forward, we end up letting them play there far longer than we would have had to.

Pirates is best. Thanks for recognizing Jungle Cruise. Doesn't get much love because of the long wait, but it is so detailed. If you look into the rooms and see all the details in the adventurers/scientists offices. And the luggage by the boats! Marc Davis is genius!

Absolutely, there's a lot of subtle humour in the queue areas of the attractions that Marc Davis designed. I really like the radio spiel that plays in The Jungle Cruise's queue too.

Yes! It is terrifically clever don't you think? I always wondered if most people pay attention to the radio broadcast. I see so many people on their smart phones facebooking, playing music, video games, texting, etc that Im glad there ate still some Disney fans who pay attention to the details that are put there to make us think.

The Seas with Nemo and Friends has an amazing queue (much more enjoyable than the ride IMO). Some other favorites are Everest, Pirates, and Tower of Terror.
The Seas with Nemo is one of the best. The water reflections everywhere and the sand and beach scenes, and how the queue builds up visually. It is better than the attraction itself. Love that queue. Not to mention the aquariums in the seas itself. Watching the seahorses and of course the manatees are a wonderful thing at EPCOT.

Recently, I have decided that Everest is my favorite queue. If you look at all the Yeti related artifacts displayed throughout, you can figure out the entire backstory of the ride. Even the FP queue is better than most other queues in Disney.
Honorable mentions go to Haunted Mansion and Tower of Terror, because honestly, how could you NOT put those in a post about favorite queues?

Definitely, there are a lot of subtleties in the best Disney queues that are easy to miss or maybe disregard if you're distracted. The smaller details are what make a lot of them so entertaining, if you take the time to try and absorb everything it makes the overall experience of each attraction much better.

Space mountain because of the star tunnel music and the cool, futuristic feel, pirates because it is a story told in itself in the queue, haunted mansion is one of my favorites because of the interactive line, Everest is great for its queue, tower of terror queue really gets me pumped up for the ride and really tells a great story. The waiting room for bugs life is comical with the fake movie posters on the wall, and the dinosaur queue feels like an actual laboratory institute.
