Meeko,

I have heard many people mention Bomma's. Which resort is it at and what style of food is it?

Thanks,
Mike

Bomma's is at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It's a buffet and it's primarily African-inspired foods. It's kind of hard to explain, but I assure you that if you go you're soon to find something you'll like. Don't let the fact that it sounds really foriegn scare you. It's actually very good. Plus the desserts are great.

I love their breakfast too. It's my favorite breakfast at WDW now (use to be Bonfamilles' at POFQ, but that's since closed :( ) I actually think I like this one better food-wise, though, but I still miss the atmosphere at Bonfamille's... and the beignettes.

Thanks for the info, it sounds great. I am open to trying just about anything (just not inerds of any kind).

When I was little we use to eat at the Gulf Coast Room in the Contemporary with my parents. We ate what they ate. For years they gave us Escargot, and I never asked questions -until that one time I did. I could not eat them for the next few trips. Now I am over it and will try most stuff.

It is my wife I need to convice to try something new. I will plan on Bomma's. Thanks so much.

Mike

We had eaten at Bonfamilles twice, both for Dinner. Sorry to hear it is gone. Very tasty.

Has anybody ever seen a map on the internet of restaurant locations?
I've seen so many reccomendations of new ones I'd like to try but I can't picture where they're located. For instance, we usually eat at Cosmic Rays, and I can't picture where Plaza Pavilion is.
I know once I get there I'll get map, but I like to plan ahead!:D

The Garden Grill at EPCOT is a great character dining experience that is all you can eat family style like Liberty Tree Tavern's dinner. But I like LTT a little better.

To answer your question, no I haven't. But I'm pretty sure the Plaza Pavilion is the one if you went to the end of the Main Street shops heading towards the Castle and made a right at the end of the shops, there is a restuarant in Tomorrowland. I think that is it. It is just counter service just so you know.

I think you're right. That's just where I picture Cosmic Rays as being. I'm a visual person I need to see this!

Has anyone had the clam chowder in the bread bowl at Columbia Harbour House? oh man it is so good. i also liked the french restaurant (good thing my parents paid for it though) Has anyone ever seen the mime there? i thought he was hysterical...is he a normal cast member?

anyway, is Bomma's the one where you can see the animals? A cast member at Eagle Pines golf course told me that at night you could ask for night vision goggles to look at the animals. Is that true?

Let's See Here. I enjoy - - -

Downtown - Lunch at Bongo's, Dinner at the House Of Blues

MK - Turkey Leg for Lunch - Dinner at Cosmic Ray's, havent tried Crystal Palace Yet...

MGM - Brown Derby, though they got rid of the best dessert, the white chocolate cheesecake, I still love the ole Cobb Salad.

Epcot - Garden Grill not bad, but why go with all the choices in the showcase. I love Teppanyaki Grill and Askershus. Le Cellier isnt bad.

AK - Ummmm.... Bomma, Not the Rainforest Cafe

I use to love the Crystal Palace. I went all the time as a kid. They had awesome chocolate pudding. The last time I ate there was in 93. On our next trip they had turned into a character meal place so we have not been back.

I would have to say Pinocchio's Village Haus before they changed the menu. They used to have these chicken wraps unlike any other at WDW. They were made with this fantastic pesto-mayonaise sauce. Sadly they are no more.

Well, first of all I would like to know what 'Frunch is? Sounds very curious to me.
And I can't believe that no one has mentioned Ohana or the Biergarten yet. They are the best! Another good place to eat is Fort Wilderness at the Trail's End Buffett for breakfast. Hmmm, I seem to have mentioned only all you can eat places. Okay, so a non-all you can eat place that is great is the ESPN at the Boardwalk, macho nachos!

Since we usually stay at the contemporary, its a must for us to take the boat over to Crockett's Tavern.

GREAT BREAKFAST BUFFET!

Also Sci-Fi Dine in Theater & the California Grill.

Where is Crockett's Tavern? Is it Fort Wilderness?

When I was a kid we use to stay at the Polynesian and we would take a boat over to Fort Wilderness and they would have someone playing music and you could make your own 12" Pizza. You would put your pie on your tray and they had tons of bowls of toppings. You would go down the counter and grab a bowl and dump it on. As you do that you put the empty bowl on your tray. When you get to the end you pay and they throw it in the oven for you. When we went the first time, I was last in line with my family an I put like 15 bowls of stuff on. When we got up to pay my father say it and was mad. Not sure why though, he never said limit it to this or that. :) . I think he tells me it was 50 cents per bowl.

He was so mad he said I had to eat the whole thing. I ate 7 out of the 8 slices and thought I would pop. He let me off the hook after that. But in the end, I made them (mom, dad, 2 sisters) all pay for it. I had put so much garlic on the pie that I stuck up the room all night breathing with my mouth open.
