Favorite park

That is such a difficult question to answer. As a 27-year-old who has been to all of them, they all have top attractions. Magic Kingdom is filled with the classics, notably Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, etc. Epcot has so much to see and do in World Showcase in addition to the big-name rides (Soarin, Test Track, Mission Space). Animal Kingdom has Expedition Everest and the new Avatar ride "Flight of Passage" which is ten times more thrilling than Soarin. Then at Hollywood Studios, you have the classics (Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster), but you also have others such as Toy Story Mania and Star Tours. I cannot pick one favorite park of the four, though it is hard to beat the fireworks show at MK.

Epcot is at the top of my list. We usually stay at one of the Epcot resorts so a quick walk thru IG and we are in the magic. Love Main Street but not the crowds of MK. Have skipped this park on three day trips or just wonder up and down the shops and left. HS is moving up to number two now if they can get more QS that I like it would be strong #2. Love AK but getting there isn’t always easy when my husband uses a scooter and refuse to get on the bus.

Being a frequent visitor over the past 46 years and AP holder I've got a different slant based on how enjoyable the parks are vs what attractions they offer since any screampark can have a few over the top rides while the rest of the experience falls flat.

#1 Animal Kingdom which has the best mix of attractions, food, theming, and merchandise.
#2 Epcot the best overall eating park and best sight lines.
#3 HS - It'll rise in the rankings once the construction levels off, that half a mile trek to and from the temporary bus location really bites.
#4 Tragic Kingdom and the only reason I call it that is due to some of the other guests. Meltdowners, Middle of Mainstreet gawkers, and the ever-present entitled. If you're looking for bad behavior, skip F&W and head straight here.

Hands down for me is Animal kingdom. I don't do thrill rides so that's probably the lowest factor on my list. I love the detail in that park. I love how different it is to any other place.

Well then, Hollywood Studios has always been my fave because for me it has the best thrill rides, I also used to love the Backlot, stunt show and still like Indy. However as it is currently undergoing construction and I am yet to visit Toy Story Land I would say Animal Kingdom is at the moment the most complete and fun park. I also love animals so there's also that.

I'd rephrase the question a little to make it easier to answer...

"What park would you visit, if you could only visit one"

For me, that would be Magic Kingdom

But, if the question were...

"What park would you visit at night with adults present, if you could only visit one"

The answer would be Epcot.

Now, for a much trickier questions...

"You just spent 2 days a Universal Studios, and you get one day at WDW, what park do you visit?"

I'd have to go with Epcot because MK and Uni are more similar than Uni and Epcot.

Lol, I could keep going...:p

I've asked that before and been condemned for suggesting such a thing. "I can't do only one! Why would I go all the way to Disney to see ONE park?"

Anyway, my choice for this thread:

Animal Kingdom. Why? Because my partner and I spend more time at the Natural History Museum, Queens, Bronx, and Central Park zoos than we do the theater these days. Can't get enough. It gives us a breather from the news. People rightly say that AK is nahtazu - and I agree - but dammit if the happiest place for me in all of Disney is on the Wild Africa Trek at 8 am. I'm not a morning person but that's a major exception.

Also, AK is a park unique to WDW. Epcot is, too, but she is not so much a tapestry these days. More of a patchwork quilt.

I do think that AK is a very underrated park. Suffice to say we have never skipped it.

Favorite park depends on the mood and the purpose of the visit. But generally, for the whole family, Hollywood Studios is the top park. Now why? Nice thrill rides (ToT, RnRC), Star Tours (which we've been known to ride multiple times in a row), Toy Story Mania is always fun (we're a competitive group), and everything just seems so much more relaxing there. On our last trip, we experienced all the attractions we wanted to get done with a couple of lengthy breaks (it takes time to consume a Butterfinger cupcake) well before lunch. It's always fun and relaxing there for us.
Second would be Animal Kingdom, and only because of the new Flight of Passage. We loved that.

I still will continue to choose MK no matter how many times or how the question is presented. Everything about it is pleasing. Its the one park that stands out among the rest that to me says Disney. The sights, sounds, smells, they grab me immediately the instant I step onto Main Street. The different lands branching out of the hub, holds a variety of attractions, entertainment, and thrills. I can wander from one area to anoyher multiple times in a day and never tire in what I find. The other parks cant give me as much value in pleasurable moments as MK does.

For me, it's a tie between Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. I love MK for the nostalgia and the number of dark rides (my husband and I get motion sickness). I love AK because I love animals and the level of immersion. I can't choose one over the other.

AK . . . Flight of Passage and Kilimanjaro Safari are the undisputed (here come the disputes) crown jewel rides of WDW + awesome food choices, addl thrill rides, amazing wild animals, amazing shows, beautiful setting, etc, etc, etc.

Epcot. There is literally no other park like it, and I could easily spend two days there (I’ve realized that I need a full 1 1/2 days in World Showcase alone).
