I was just wondering what everyone's favorite Epcot Pavillion that has either been changed or closed in the past few years. In other words which original pavillion is your favorite. Mine is Journey Into Imagination(obviously). Nothing willl ever top that pavillion. The greatest ride EVER, Image Works was amazing, and a great 3-D show, whether it was HISTA or Capt. EO.

This was tough. I like World of Motion, Imagination, and Horizons. I picked Horizons as my favorite, but the other two are a close second and third. They are really all tied for 1st place. But I think I miss Horizon and then Imagination most. The new Imagination is better then the second, but still pales to the original. If Disney wants to improve Imagination bring back Dreamfinder!

Agreed. I'll also add the classy Kitchen Kabaret to the list!

My thoughts exactly.

I like The Land

Listen To The Land was a great ride. It's not extremely different from the current incarnation, but it was still a little more enjoyable. Also, the guides talked during the entire ride as opposed to only during the greenhouse portion.

You can't forget Kitchen Kabaret. It speaks for itself.

Symbiosis didn't do much for me. I only saw it once, and that was because I wanted to tape it. :)

The Land Grille Room was innovative and fun. Instead of being a cute character meal, it used to be a real restaurant where you could quietly enjoy a meal and look out over the scenes of the boat ride. If it still existed, this would be one of the only full-service places I'd eat at while in the parks. That, my friends, says something

The Farmers Market was also the best fast food place in the park, if not WDW. Great selection, great food, great atmosphere.

After all this talk, I really miss the old Land pavilion

The Garden Grille isn't that different. . . the characters are there, but the Land scenes are still shown. Were there any other differences?

Imagination was my favorite older Epcot pavilion. As a kid, it housed such a playful, fun attraction that brought a lot of smiles to my face. And the original song was so happy. But then the Micheal Jackson 3D film with that witch was scary. That pavilion sticks out really well in my mind.

It was a great pavilion. Very happy, pleasant memories.

I only remember being able to choose your ending in Horizons. (And our last time on, my sister got to choose--next time was supposed to be mine but next trip it was closed.) World of Motion has very memorable scenes as well, loved the AA's and "classic scenes.

But Imagination had so much going for it!!

There were minor visual changes, but nothing substantial. It still overlooks the scenes from LWTL, and it still rotates.

The biggest change was the move from a casual restaurant to the family-style restaurant. It's louder, crazier (kids + characters), and the menu is definately smaller.

While I must say that I loved just about everything of the old Epcot better than what we have now, Epcot is still my 2nd favorite park in it's current state. I miss the little things like the Listen to the Land song, looking out at SSE while on World of Motion, the orange smell of Horizons, the 60 minute waits for Body Wars (Yes I indeed miss those), the opening scene of Journey Into Imagination, hearing We Are Here To Change The World in Captain EO, and the list goes on and on. "Old-School" Epcot was definately my all time favorite park.

With that being said, I must vote for Horizons. Looking back at it, this was one of the most elaborate attractions in WDW history. The music was stellar, the animatronics were plentiful, the IMAX screens were impressive, and the overall tone of the attraction was second to none. While I LOVE all of the attractions listed in this poll, I must vote for Horizons.

Sadly, Spaceship Earth and Universe of Energy are the only pavillions that I remember. I haven't been to the others in ages. Spaceship Earth is my favorite!

Horizons was my favorite ride in all of WDW, but for a pavillion as a whole I had to pick Imagination. The old ride was great. Mix that with the image works as a nice AC'd indoor pavillion it represented what all EPCOT pavillions should be. Good ride mixed with indoor fun.
