I also love the excitement you can feel on the DME bus, when you're almost there and can't wait to get to your hotel and the parks!
I feel the same way, and also get a similar feeling the first time I get off the bus to go to the first park of the trip. I always try to take it in as much as I can because you only get that feeling once per trip.

I love the smell and the darkness when entering PotC! I also love the excitement you can feel on the DME bus, when you're almost there and can't wait to get to your hotel and the parks!
Gosh, but I hate it when the video ends, and we have to listen to the elevator sounding music. It is because I don't like the sudden impatience I now feel just waiting to see my resort! I need the video to distract me!

The smell of The Haunted Mansion. I can't really articulate why.

The smell of the indoor water rides-Pirates and Gran Fiesta Tour.

The African American Scientist AA on Spaceship Earth.

The pre-show prop room area of MuppetVision with everything labeled (Still yet another door).

Watching the manatees in The Living Seas.

Frozen chocolate bananas from Ghiradelli in Downtown Disney.

I love the manatees they are such gentle giants.

another one that stands out for me is that they thought to find how long the average person will carry a piece of trash before they drop it on the ground if they don't come across a trash can (i've heard lots of different numbers as to how many steps it is.. so I won't quote it here).. and put one in at intervals just short of that all over the parks.. who thinks of that sort of thing??
I feel that people will drop trash wherever not because a trashcan isn't close enough, but due to a mindset of 'not my park/place/house, not my problem', or 'they have people to clean it up.' Of course I might be jaded after over 15 years working retail.

I love the saying that is painted on the wall of the unloading area of Splash Mountain. Im paraphrasing- "You cant run from trouble-aint no place that far". Also, that first bite of a Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar. Always in the Magic Kingdom. Even better on Main Street. It just says Disney and makes me so happy.

My husband picks up everyone's garbage while we're there. All he says is, "Not in my house!"

It is sad to see how bad it has gotten over the years. I told him we could always move there and he can do that daily...

It never ceases to shock me how awful we are about litter in America but when I am over in Japan, I find zero trash and zero trashcans.

There is a hidden little covered porch tucked around a corner near The Hall of Presidents that has a couple of rocking chairs. This was the first time we took our eldest daughter (now 9). We've been back a couple times since and she remembered this from her first trip and seeks it out everytime we go - and we always get an updated pic each time.
