The smells all throughout the Magic Kingdom rides, shops and after when your at the hotel room!

Haha, yes! The dirty pirates of the carribean feet! Yuck! But I love it! I always feel like a drop of dirt is gonna fall on me everytime!

The sounds throughout Disney resorts , MK, on the streets, rides, stores, etc.

Oh, & the music playing in Downtown Disney through the bushes etc!

Lastly, as your boarding the monorail...
Please stand clear of the door....

favorite obscure things:
two distinct sounds i always hear off in the distance especially at the fort wilderness resort - the buses and boats. the sound of the boats rumbling along taking people to the kingdom, the horn blowing as it approaches.

and the buses. when they park and make that lowering/opening door sound PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS beepbeepbeepbeepbeep. so obnoxious yet so charming at the same time.

Oh soooo many little touches that guests can seek out if only they take the time.
The address labels on the various wooden crates in DHS by Min & Bills that give a nod to classic movies. The street signs along the streets and window dressing in the Streets of America buildings. The billboards, apartment building and business listings signs. The torches around EP lagoon. The lanterns in frontier land. The paw prints in the walkways of AK. The jewels in the cement around Aladdin's carpet ride.

another one that stands out for me is that they thought to find how long the average person will carry a piece of trash before they drop it on the ground if they don't come across a trash can (i've heard lots of different numbers as to how many steps it is.. so I won't quote it here).. and put one in at intervals just short of that all over the parks.. who thinks of that sort of thing??

One of my favorites is when I play golf at either the Palm or the Magnolia. I go out first thing in the morning (so the wife can sleep in and we'll have the rest of the day together). I can always hear the music from the MK park opening and then the intermittent train whistle as it approached Main St. station.

I also love the quietness of the parks during an EMH night.

The view of the castle from Splash Mtn - especially at night, and doubly especially if the fireworks are going off.

I love those jewels, my grandkids thought they were real jewels when they were little. Thank you for reminding me of that special memory.

The story goes ..."Walt Disney himself spent some time in amusement parks and observed how long someone would hold onto trash before just dropping it" I believe the number is around 30, but not sure. Either way, it's a great idea and works well as the parks are usually very clean considering how much traffic they have

It certainly helps that I, and no doubt other guests, will occasionally pick up trash in Disney because hey, why not?
