In the back of the China Pavilion (the outside portion of the shop, on the far right walking in from the outside), where the movie lets out. There is a small square wooden table with an old green bowl on it with golden handle. it sings if you rub the handles the right way... I can't remember if it is still there. I'm pretty positive it is, because I think my family tried to trick me into telling me it wasn't there anymore. But we'd spend around an hour trying to make it sing. It's just a traditional singing bowl. I got it twice, if I can snag the video from my dad's computer, I'll upload it to show you! It's really fun.. although it sounds kind of lame. You get a lot of weird looks from people, but some people will start talking to you, and cast members join in on the fun. :)
:geek: OOh! Something new to try on my next trip. Thanks

What is the singing bowl?o_O I've never heard of it.
A singing bowl is a usually brass bowl that makes a high pitch sound when a wooden stick is run on the outside of the bowl. It is used in Tibetan customs. I apologize if I am inaccurate in my explanation.

Pool-hopping, Boardwalk entertainment at night is free and always enjoyed. Have done the Epcot Monorail loop quite a few times... worked great to get the kids asleep when they were younger. Not sure if it is still in operation... but we did the petting zoo/barnyard at Ft wilderness, along with the stables a few times... Pony rides were a few bucks.

Another freebie was a presentation given at the AKL(when we stayed there) by some CMs from South Africa and Botswana. It was very informative presentation about their homelands and culture. We all throughly enjoyed that. It was in the Library at AKL about 5 years ago and not sure if it is still given. Also it may have been only for guests staying at the AKL.

Another time when the water taxis route went from DTD-SSR-OKW...we took an early afternoon ride on it from DTD-SSR-OKW, while we were staying at either Kidani Villas or BC Villas. When we arrived at OKW and did not get off the boat, the captain looked at us and shook his head. He actually said something that we were not supposed to do that and it was only for resort guests. I said OK, shook my head back at him and we remained seated. He said no more and we enjoyed our boatride back to DTD.:)
Mind you that there was only one other couple on the boat and another couple got on at OKW for the return. If there had been a long line of folks waiting to board, we would have got off at OKW, and got back in line.

I tried to use my ancient mug at POR and they wouldn't let me. Since I was on the plan I got a new one. Also, the dispensers needing the RF chip won't work. A real Bummer, since I've had these mugs more than 12 years from the original POFQ when POR was Dixie Landings!
SHHH don't tell anyone, but they should still work for tea and coffee. I know someone is going to yell because I said that. HEEE HEEE!!!
