I'm not so crazy about Verizon. They do have the best coverage in my area. I want an iphone, though. I have an env3. It's okay. What do you like?

No, there are some rumors going around stating that the Iphone may be coming over to Verizon.

Strong rumors

In a nutshell

There will be a CDMA iPhone come summertime (provided release dates are met)

Verizon is a CDMA network

The new iPhone COULD work on the VzW network.

VzW and Apple are both 500 lb gorillas. They are both used to getting contracts the way they want them. Thats one of the reasons the original iPhone was not on the Vz network and why AT&T has such a horrendous deal (for itself) when it sells an iPhone. However this stance has softened on both sides because of the insane popularity of the iPhone, and the insane suckatude of the T network.

VzW and Google/Android are all comfy cozy right now. Apple and Google/Android - not the best of friends.

So thats the current landscape. Makes for some interesting times.

My advice would be to wait to see what the summer brings before signing a 2 yr contract.

Although everyone I know seems to have Verizon, I have been a Sprint customer for more than 4 years. I currently have the HTC Hero, an android phone (similar to the Droid). I love it...for me, while I do make calls, my phone is my primary internet tool...Facebook, Twitter, and looking up phone numbers or random things. I love it. And while I am a Mac person, right now I am not willing to pay twice as much per month for AT&T just to get an iPhone. I am seriously considering switching to Verizon when my contract runs up, though, so I can finally get an iPhone.

As a whole, I love android and all the apps...I have yet to pay for an app, since i have all I need for functionality. The rest are for amusement, pretty much (like an app that just plays the sound of crickets...I use it during amusingly awkward moments...goes over very well :)).

Oh, and while I would say I get approximately one dropped call a month, I am pleased overall with Sprint. I get unlimited internet, SMS, MMS, and 450 anytime minutes (plus I can call ANY cell phone on ANY provider for free), plus equipment protection, for $67 a month with all the fees. I have a discount from a former employer, which understandably lowers the bill substantially (by about $15 a month), but it's just so darn cheap. I use the phone to make calls moderately, but have never come close to using my minutes, primarily because most of the people I call are using cell phones, so it doesn't touch my minutes.

I have a T-mobile branded HTC Touch Pro 2... Good phone, though it seeks T-mobile could use a better network around the Orlando metro. (It's great at disney though)
