Fatal Accident involving Disney Bus (12/15)

My family and I were on the bus and I would like to clear a few things up. The accident actually happened around 1:10 so I'm not sure where the 2:00 time came from. We were coming back from the Christmas party at the Magic Kingdom for the person who was so concerned where the bus was going at that time not that it should really matter! The whole thing is just so sad and the poor bus driver could do nothing to avoid hitting her. Unfortunately accidents happen and I pray for her family and the bus driver who is going to have to live with the fact that the poor girl died. It's hard for my family to grasp so I can't imagine what he is going thru!

Bus drivers are unfortunately a lot like train engineers. Sooner or later they are going to hit someone and it will not be their fault. People just don't realize large vehicles such as busses don't stop on a dime and they don't maneuver like a car will. I feel horrible for the bus driver as well but hopefully he realizes the event was not his fault and there was nothing he could have done to prevent it.

The 2Am time was when FHP was dispatched but their report says 1:05 AM as the incident time.
