Fastpass+ Tier Predictions

Hi everyone,

Just an interesting exercise - how does everyone anticipate Fastpass Tiers will change over the next five years with the currently announced attractions in the pipeline? For example, what gets moved into tier 1, what gets moved to tier 2, and which parks abandon tiers generally by 2021?

Maybe this should be moved to General Discussion?

Fingers crossed, Epcot can get rid of the tiers in a few years. 3 new rides will probably be moving into FP territory- Ratatouille, GotG, and Coco (Caballeros currently doesn’t need a FP)- and 1 I am guessing will be without a FP- UK ride.

If they keep the tiers... Tier 1- GotG, Ratatouille, Frozen, Test Track, Illuminations (that’s a Tier 1 FP, right?). Tier 2- almost everything else. No FP needed- UK ride

Hollywood Studios- Tier 1- Alcatraz, Falcon, and Fantasmic. Tier 2- everything else. I’m kind of tempted to put Slinky in Tier 1, because that seems like something Disney would do.

Animal Kingdom (I’m guessing it changes for sure)- Tier 1- Flight of Passage, Everest. Tier 2- everything else

Why do you think they would add Everest to Tier 1?

It's in Tier 2 now and there tends to be a lot of same day availability. If anything, Kilimanjaro Safaris seems to be more popular relative to capacity, at least in my observation.

@marni1971 do you know if they are planning on keeping the Tier system by 2021?
Not in insider, nor am I marni1971. Heck, I didn't even stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

But I see no way DHS, AK or Epcot is without tiers by 2021. Even with the new attractions online. Maybe if they were all in one park (think DCA), but not the way they are spread out over those 3 parks that were ignored for so long.

The way things are going, I can see WDW offering a 90-day FP+ reservation period for an additional upcharge, say $20 per person. That way, those willing to pay extra can get those nearly impossible FPs such as FoP and the soon-to-open Slinky coaster in advance and tiering won't have quite as much impact on their day-to-day touring as it does today.

Oh I have no idea actually, I just don’t see both Pandora attractions staying in Tier 1 forever. Flight of Passage, yes. River Journey... no.

They need to do away with this system it is messing up the entire experience. I can't come to the park and do anything spontaneous any more. The fast passes are gone months before I get there. You have to give day trippers a fighting chance to get a pass. As it stands you can't come to the park and get a pass the day you arrive.

River Navi is a joke. I rate it below Frozen and Pirates of the Carribean. That's the biggest waste of a fast pass.

It’s soothing, but it’s way too short, and people waiting over 30 minutes for it are wasting their time (honestly, that should be a 15-20 minute wait max like Frozen, but also like Frozen, it gets a lot of people because it’s new).

230 minute wait for journey today lol

I don't understand are you local? I usually make fp day of and get everything I want.
