This begs the question then, is that person cutting ahead of everyone else "all wonderful?" Because if not, why SHOULD they be allowed to cut ahead of everyone? I mean, I hear a common justification for this type of behavior all the time, "Oh come on, is it really that big of a deal?" Well, if it isn't that big of a deal, just don't do it, and then others wouldn't get upset. If it is a big deal, well then I can understand why you're doing it, but now I think you have to acknowledge why others would get upset.

Isn't it just possible that the kid just really needed to go to the bathroom? Is there really is no patience for a kid to step out of line for that? Come on here. Do you really think it's ok for the whole family to step out of line just so the kid can use the bathroom? Or should the kid just tough it out and try to enjoy the ride? Sure, you can ask him/her to use the bathroom before you get in line, but kids sometimes don't quite get that.

Or maybe it's a case where one person stayed behind to use the bathroom while the others got in line, in that case, then maybe the whole party should've waited, yeah, but when it comes down to it, if 3 people are waiting in line while one uses the bathroom, then the 4th person joins them, is it really going to affect your wait time? I mean, most ride vehicles will take two people anyway, so either you are behind a group of 3 or 4, it doesn't really make a difference.

YES, of course, I know what you are thinking, if EVERYONE did this it would be a problem. But everyone DOESN'T do this. I honestly don't see it happening very often. I think people are getting all worked up over something that isn't NEARLY as big of a deal as it is being made out to be.

Ok, you have created a perfect situation whereby to defend your point. A kid is in line for a ride, he has to use the bathroom, he gets out of line, we let him back in. That's one thing. In that scenario, I also imagine the dad is escorting him, saying, sorry folks sorry.

Now, me personally, if that were my kid, we'd get back in the end of the line. I do think it's important for kids to learn to pay attention to their bodies and use the restroom before getting in line. But I do see your point.

I think what people on here are talking about, is the mom or dad who had to use the bathroom, get a drink, get a FP, whatever, BEFORE getting in line. That's just crap. If someone needs to do something, either do it first then have the whole family get in line, or have that person skip that ride. Yes, I think that goes for kids too.

Gosh, you make it sound like someone is taking your firstborn or something. You people on this thread are a bit much. Seriously, how much of a problem is this really? Sure, I don't want people cutting in front of me, but the amount of anger over this is REALLY disturbing.

Who's angry? Not me. I just refuse to allow them to cut in line past me. ;) No anger involved. :D

Definitely make sure the small child doesn't get past you. Show him who's boss. Maybe you can not just block him but actually push him down, maybe spit on him too. I mean, he totally deserves it for trying to get past the all wonderful you.
You're kind of an argumentative person arent ya? Who in the world said that it gets that confrontational smarta**? If you want to let people manipulate you and get away with not showing you common courtesy then fine but don't bring your baggage on these boards and toss it onto others.

I'm glad I'm not your kid.

Me too.

Ya know, it's easy to dismiss it when we're talking about it on the boards here, but it really is annoying when people cut ahead in the lines and there isn't anything you can do about it. Do I want to stop those people or smack em, or whatever, perhaps. Would I ever do it? No. Cause then I'D be the person ejected from the park. That being said, I will let you know loudly and forcefully if you shouldn't be using flash photography on a ride.

^ Agreed. :D

Dont care. My whole family goes to the restroom before the attractions so this doesn't happen to us. And btw, no one is saying that a mother that has to take a small child out of line for an emergency wouldn't be let back in. I think we can all assume that would be fine. We're talking about the smart mouthed little punks that laugh about "catching up with family" (if the family even exists) because they wanted to ride something else first nd catch up later.

Sure, you can ask him/her to use the bathroom before you get in line, but kids sometimes don't quite get that.

Then that's the parents fault. ;) Still not my problem.

Really, it is the principle of the matter plus the smug looks that they have when walking past you.

I think people are getting all worked up over something that isn't NEARLY as big of a deal as it is being made out to be.

The only one we see getting worked up about it is you. :)

You are the one who said small child or adult. You AREN'T going to let them back in line, you said so yourself. How do you know what the circumstances are? You're right, it could be the more negative situation where someone just really wants to cut, or it could be an honest family for whatever reason is separated. But no, you judge right away for it to be someone who is going to cut in front of YOU, YOU YOU YOU YOU YOU. Imagine how badly they are going to think of you when you are extremely rude to them for no reason. But again, as you said so eloquently, you don't care.

There are attractions where it's easier to meet up with your party in line than others. I know with my nephews on Dumbo we've had an adult wait in line, and then basically had the child sit until the adult gets near a chain where they can be lifted over.

I get annoyed when adults have you step aside so that they can meet up with the rest of their party, but if they're polite about it I have less of an issue with it. If it's a larger party meeting up with a single person I get agitated and think that the single person should wait for the larger party to catch up with them. More often than not that's what I wind up doing.

I will say that over at Six Flags Magic Mountain I saw them handing out sequenced slips of paper to prevent line jumpers. These pieces of paper were then collected later on in the ride. It prevented against line jumpers, but it was using two employees ineffeciently. They had nobody grouping guests onto the rides and as such, each train was leaving 75% full.

Yeah. I did. At least you're reading half of the posts.

You started this pal. Not me. Keep your argumentative posts to yourself next time if you don't want to have it tossed back at ya. ;) Posters like you make me laugh. You come into a thread, halfa** read the posts, then make judgements about people or you read all of the posts and completely take things out of context and then start making wild accusations. You in particular are very bad about this. I've seen some of your posts. Wow, you really like to start crap with people. Then you get you dander all up when they come right back at you. Nice. Keeps me laughing. But I've laughed at you long enough. Welcome to my ignore list. ;)

And could you imagine having to keep up with all of those papers? And how many trees was that killing? They should have just had numbered cards and asked how many were in the party. 5? Okay, you get a #5 card. :)
