Is there fastpass availibity while at the parks? What’s your experience? Like I got all my fastpasses before 1pm & I’m wondering if I’m actually going to be able to get more fastpasses once we’re done with our first 3?

There is but expect the most popular attractions to sell out quickly and only the less popular rides to be available with most with late afternoon/evening times. But yes if you use up all three before 1pm you will get another.

Depends on which park, how crowded it is, and how many FPs you need for each ride. If the park isn't packed and you only need a couple of FPs, then you'll likely find something later that day. Unlikely to find a headliner, but occasionally you get lucky.

We were able to get many FP+s after we used our first three on our trip in January 2017, including for "E ticket" rides. However, we do not anticipate being able to do so near Xmas time this year.

Yes - I think my brother ended up using 6 or 7 in one day. Remember that you can start searching for a new FP as soon as you scan your band for your 3rd original one - you do not have to wait until after you ride the attraction. And as soon as you scan in for that next one, you can start searching again. Also, if you have Park Hopper, you can search other parks for each additional FP.

The more crowded it is, the less likely it'll be you'll find fastpasses after you use your first 3, certainly if you're looking for fastpasses for the most popular rides.

The day I intend to go to Hollywood Studios, Fastpasses are already completely out for Slinky Dog Dash, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Rock and Roller Coaster & Star Tours.

It's not even expected to be very crowded in the park that day - according to touringplans they predict a level "4" on a scale of 1 to 10. But there's not a lot to do in those parks, so the most popular stuff goes fast.

Conversely, the days we intend to go to Magic Kingdom, about the only attraction out of fastpasses is the Seven Dwarves Mine Train. But of course, there's way more to do at Magic Kingdom.

Very limited...no main draws.

Typically when I’ve looked (I’ve had the bands from the first week on site) all that’s available are what you typically wouldn’t think to get one for...

I’ve never used the 4th fastpass...

We just got back and on my DHS day I was able to snag an Alien Spinning Saucers as my 4th FP. I know it was a lucky coincidence that someone must have released theirs at that moment, but I did get one. I also got TOT and could have had it again later. Kept checking for SDD, but no luck.

At MK, I was able to get 6 FP+s on our 1st MK day. The only one I couldn't get was 7DMT and Peter Pan. I did get 7DMT on our 2nd MK day, so we didn't miss it.

AK, I was able to get 6 total.

At Epcot, I wasn't able to get one for TT, but used single rider so that was no big deal. Could have had FrozenStrom, but didn't want it. All other attractions had them available most of the day.

You will get something but may not be happy with the selections offered. The majority of the time we were on our last trip in May we were locked out of getting any of the popular attractions in the early afternoon at all the parks. The available ones were ones we really didnt want but took them because at least they were better than nothing. The old system WAS much better.

It depends on what 'availability' you're talking about. On-site guests can reserve their FastPasses 60 days prior to their trip (off-site guests later at about 30 days prior). As a result, a large portion of 'must-do' rides don't have available FastPasses (aside from some evening spots). In my experience, you're going to be able to reserve more FastPasses if you're careful about choosing reservation times. To do this, you're probably going to have to avoid reserving 'must-do' rides (going in stand-by instead). Hope this (and those above posts) helped.

This situation is why we almost always schedule our FP+ for afternoon or evening and do the rope drop run first thing in the morning. We usually end up doing better that way. We will rush to a first ride on a popular attraction as soon as the park opens, and opt for a re-ride or quickly go on a few nearby rides. For example in MK, make the dash to Space Mountain, either get right back in line or go on Buzz and dash over to something else really quick. Then go on less popular rides, have lunch and our fastpasses come up in the afternoon. I've tried the other way, making the FPs for the AM hours then trying for new fastpasses but I just don't think we ended up being able to do as much.

I always get one after another when I’m done with my third at MK. You just have to keep refreshing. I just found a PP for 4:40

I suspect the predictions for Studios are going to be close to worthless with the opening of Toyland, at least for a while.

I was there in June and was able to get:

Splash Mountain - 9 pm June 4 for 6 people
Toy Story Mania - 3 pm June 5 for 2 people
Space Mountain - 10 pm June 8 for 3 people
Soarin’ - 4 pm June 9 for 5 people

So, yes, you can get headliners the day of. You have to be flexible and persistent.

I have never had any trouble securing day-of FastPasses for my spur of the moment trips to any of the parks. There are people on this site that will claim to their death that its impossible, but unless you're going during peak times, you'll almost always get lucky. It is extremely possible to use more than your initial allotment of three.
I will agree you can usually use more than your 3 initial fastpasses provide the latest of your initial 3 is early afternoon or earlier... But it is also true that the fastpass options available for those day of fastpasses are not going to be the best rides often its the rides you don't even need a fastpass for to begin with.... and it also depends on the park you are in. I don't think we have ever seen them completely out of fast passes for AK until very late... but then a fastpass for It's tough to be a bug is probably not that high on most people's list.... Frankly I am always amazed at some of the rides that have fastpasses available to begin with. I think they only thrown in junk ride for fastpasses because they know that if they didn't throw them in they wouldn't have enough fastpasses to even cover all of the guests staying in their resorts let alone anyone else staying offsite.
