Fastest route to EE

We have never been to EE before. I have studied the AK map and can not figure out the fastest route to take to get to EE. It looks the same whether you go by Nemo or by Asia. Anyone have any first hand knowlege on this dilema?

Go by Nemo...easier to go across the bridge thn through all of the turns in Asia(although it is VERY pretty that way)

We always do the safari first and grab a FP for EE as we come back around. Love seeing the animals when they're moving about.

Speaking of the Safari.. when is the best time to see take the safari to see the animals? The day I am going - AK opens at 9am and closes at 5pm.

The earlier, the better. As to the OP's question, I agree that going by Nemo is the best route.

Distance-wise, the Asia path is actually shorter. I measured it in Gmaps Pedometer, and going through Asia is about 60 yards shorter, even with all the twists of the path.

*But*, the route past the Nemo theater is much less crowded most of the time, and would be easier to navigate. (The only exception would be before and after a Nemo performance).

If it's your first time heading to Everest, I suggest approaching from Asia to get the full effect of the theming.

If you're riding EE at park opening - straight after rope drop - it doesn't really matter which way you go as the CMs walk you virtually all the way with both routes arriving at almost the same time

I agree, the mountain looks great when approached from Asia.
